  • I'm 5'4 and maintaining at 114.
  • I don't know but I'm in the same situation. Lost 42lbs and went from a 38C to 34B (but I only fill out half the cup with my saggy lil girls). I wear padded bras now just so I look like I have some shape.... I've been lifting weights for a year now, and for me...it isn't helping my plight. Nothing will fix this sag without…
  • Well...you won't get her to change unless she wants to (which obviously she doesn't), soooooo.....either you have to... ditch the chick and have her take her pies with her. stick to your preferred foods (and workout schedule) and make some goodies fit your calorie goal. ditch all your hard work because it ain't worth…
  • Well....you obviously have to increase your calories a bit to stabilize your weight. If you aren't hungry then having something calorie dense will give you the extra calories without eating too much. Something like peanut butter, cheese, olive oil would be an example. I would start increasing by 100 calories a day, and if…
  • You've made great progress op! I hope you don't go getting discouraged because you've come a long way and should be proud! I agree that you will have to drop more weight to get the fat off your belly.... I threw a couple pics on here for another comparison of what losing just a bit more weight can do. Im 5'4 and had set…
  • I do try to log everything, yeah. Even if it's just a "quick add" of what I think is a fair amount of calories. I won't make myself insane searching the data base for a bite or two of food. I throw a few calories onto my diary and move along....
  • I posted on your other thread but just had another thought. Have you plugged your measurements into the navy body fat calculator? I've done that and think it gave me a fair estimate. Might give you another number just for comparison sake.
  • I'm holding onto two pair of jeans. The pair I wore at the start of my weight loss, and the pair that were my "goal" that I've shrunk out of. I too need to keep perspective because there are days when I feel really bad about my body despite how far I've come.....
  • I usually take enough food to work for a couple lunches so I don't have to prepare daily. This is just what I tend to eat, but I make a couple sandwiches, portion out servings of chips or fruit. I'll bring servings of cottage cheese. Always keep a few protein bars/fiber one bars there too. I drink the low calorie drink…
  • I feel the same way. I've gone from a bmi of about 30 to 19 and it's shocking to me to realize just how much fat I was carrying. Last year before I started dieting I felt pretty good about myself and didn't think I looked too bad. A little heavy/curvy maybe....but ok. My main goal was to fit into a pair of smaller jeans I…
  • Now I've decided to return it. I just woke up...and after standing on it multiple times got numbers that are all over the place by 4lbs. It shouldn't be doing this..... And yeah. If I were just looking for a ballpark weight range it might suffice but I need a little more accuracy. I'll try that Walmart one. Thanks.
  • No. It was weighing at the same time.
  • I think it sounds about right as well. I had posted a pic here and was estimated to be around 22%, so I cut another 5-6lbs and now I'm around 18-20%. A few pounds made a huge difference for me. I'm spending this month in maintenance and starting a bulk in Aug.
  • I'm going to keep the scale a little longer and see how it goes. If I stand very straight/still it looks to be consistent. Just don't remember having this issue with the digital I had a long time ago, but then again maybe I wasn't tracking as closely.... Another thing that caught me off guard is it showing me a lower…
  • I don't think 1700 is very far off the mark for your stats and the cardio you do. My stats are a little different as I'm 5'4 and 110lbs. I'm a big bigger than you are and maintaining on about 1700, but my cardio is minimal. The exercise is going to earn you that little bit extra calorie-wise even though you're smaller.…
  • Ok. I think it was you who I saw mention increasing protein a bit beyond 1g being a good idea so..... And I just asked about initial water weight as far as trying to determine when I'm at a point where I'm actually gaining vs seeing "bloat" weight on the scale. Like...say I were to ultimately gain 15lbs. Would I chalk up…
  • Thank you. Rather than start a new thread I'll just ask here and hope someone sees it.... Right now I get .4-.5g of fat and a minimum of 120g of protein per day. Is that still going to be ok? Do you increase to 250 all at once or gradually? I guess I'm going to have an initial jump of water weight?
  • I saw your thread about struggling with maintenance op. All I wanted to add/emphasize again is that if you want to reveal those abs you're probably going to have to get back in a deficit to do it. You'll never see em if you don't get the fat off em.
  • Same for me. I still have it but it's so much better than it was.
  • Thank you. I'm a shorty.....5'4.
  • Every time I change my weight the macros switch back to the default settings. Now when I change one I change them both.

  • I'm all about anything having to do with cheese, but I'm not interested in these. I just don't see them as something that would taste all that good, or be worth blowing calories on.
  • Doritos. Birthday cake ice cream Cupcakes with that sickly sweet icing.
  • Thank you so much for pointing me the way I needed to go. Now I can start bugging you for help with bulking! LMAO! Damned legs finally did slim down a bit...yeah. I think they would look a little better still but I have some ugly loose skin that I'm hoping will get better....
  • Ok....thanks everyone. I'm burnt out on cutting and ready to have a lil fun now. I have to find my maintenance number and make sure I'm doing ok with macros first. Plus...I need one more month of summer before I start sporting a pooch.
  • arditarose and I have been comparing ourselves a bit because we're both a pear shape on a 5'4 frame. You sound a lot like me though in that I started off at 157lbs and about 30% fat (much higher than her). Where she was lean at 128lbs, I am now sitting at 115-116 and look about like she did. I thought 125-120 would be…
  • I can't add much more to what they said above. You simply can't create NEW muscle unless you're eating excess calories. But yeah...you can do a lot to improve on what muscle you already have now (gaining strength and endurance) and be ensuring you lose the least amount of muscle mass possible while losing weight. Starting…
  • I've always eaten the bulk of my food towards the end of the day, and I love evening snacking too. While I was losing weight, and even now at maintenance I'm still doing the same thing. I eat a little lighter through breakfast and lunch, and have a bigger dinner. The larger dinner makes me fuller so I don't necessarily…
  • All I go by is having to do 4 early morning workouts per week. The specific days aren't set in stone because my schedule constantly changes, but I don't deviate at all from that "4 days a week I'm waking up at 4:30am".
