  • How do you send friend requests? This app has changed ALOT since the last time I was here and I'm really confused now! Ugh.... nevermind.....I figured it out. 😑
  • I can be a buddy as well. I just had my 50th birthday. I lost alot of weight using this app a few years ago but then gained it all back. It's really hard getting started again and I'd love to have a few women my age to share with. Ideally I need to lose about 40lbs, but for now I'm striving for 10 as I want to set smaller…
  • I’m 5’4 180lbs size 16 125lbs size 8 115lbs size 6
  • Look for Biotene products in the store.
  • For $800/mo....sure they’re going to kiss your butt to make you stay. But I don’t think people have to be paying ridiculous amounts of money either. $800 is absurd.
  • That’s a good idea. And thanks for adding the attachment. :)
  • Thanks. It’s actually my hip that just feels tight all the time. I stopped all exercise that doesn’t feel good, and I’ve been stretching a lot but it only seems to help momentarily. I need to see a PT to see what’s going on but haven’t gotten there yet.
  • I had the same experience with Effexor, and I can honestly say that was the only time in my life....ever....that all food looked revolting to me. I didn’t like what it was doing to me so I switched to a different Rx.
  • It didn’t affect me at all.
  • ^^What they said. It won’t give results that are any different than anything else. It’s just a different way of eating your daily allotment.
  • For me that would be about 5oz of chicken breast, 100g broccoli, 100g sweet potato, and 3/4tbsp of butter.
  • Yup. I dropped 8lbs my first week. It happens.
  • Haven’t read any other replies, but I know what you’re saying. It just depends on the person. Some choose to log forever, and some will eventually decide that they’ve learned how to eat differently and don’t have to anymore. Some will log during the week and opt not to on weekends to give themselves a break. Then there are…
  • Hmmmm.... Maybe they meant to be realistic and not have expectations of getting the weight off in a couple months or something? You can certainly do whatever you put your mind to though. I’m 5’4 and started off here at 160lbs. Ive lost 45 simply by counting calories.
  • I lost 45lbs by primarily strength training with just a smidgen of cardio thrown in. I did a lot of walking too. Cardio is fine, and everyone should be doing some simply for the cardiovascular benefits, but you don’t want to do so much of it that you can’t do your strength training. If you keep up with the weights (being…
  • I have to lose 10lbs. Anyone can feel free to add me. I need some more friends.
  • I have a bagel thin or low cal wrap with lunch meat/thin sliced cheese/veggies (sometimes a little low cal mayo). On the side I'll have a 100cal bag of snacks or a piece of fruit. Another I eat a lot is grilled chicken in a huge salad with low cal dressing. I put a little cut up fruit in it to make it more interesting. One…
  • I can only speak of my experience, but I'm 5'4 and had to drop to 110lbs to be lean enough to bulk. Yes...my face and upper body looked skeletal, but...I wanted to bulk badly enough so I dealt with it. Ideally you want to be as lean as you can get before bulking, so I do agree that you would benefit from cutting a bit…
  • I have a hard time getting back on track after food benders too. Honestly I have to force myself, but after a day or two I fall back into my better habits again. You know what you have to do, so do it. No excuses. If you don't you'll be tossing everything. You don't want that....

  • This is what I was going to say. I've always had a hard time sticking to my goal weight too. Having a new project to work on has kept me motivated this time around to where I've kept the pounds off for over a year.
  • My first post here was asking the same exact thing, and I also was told to buy a scale. I didn't want to. It was weird weighing food at first, but...it made all the difference in the world. I saw that I was off on everything. Some things I was eating too much of (meat/peanut butter/cereal), and yet others I wasn't eating…
  • I only have a second but these are my quick thoughts. It sounds like this girl really wants some help. Yes...her parents should be doing it, but I think you can do some good for her simply by getting her active. Something sporty to play together. Walks. Bikes. Skating. Whatever will get her active while having fun. I also…
  • I haven't read the other replies, but all I was thinking reading this was...maybe some therapy would be helpful? It sounds like you're depressed. Bingeing is a symptom of something deeper, and it very well may continue to happen unless you get a handle on the driving force behind it. I used to be a binge eater (flirting…
  • When that happens to me I just start fresh the next day. I don't alter anything. I always find that the day after eating heavy carbs I have a great workout, so if there's an upside...that's it for me.
  • I have coffee/Greek yogurt with a bit of protein powder for breakfast (200cals) Lunch is usually salad....lean meat with a ton of veggies (around 250cals). Dinner is about 400 and dessert is 300. I've done something along the lines of IF where I only had coffee up until lunch. I would have about 600 for dinner and 300 for…
  • In a sense...I guess I did although it wasn't a reward after losing the weight. I just started feeling better about myself, so now I get my hair cut/highlighted regularly. New clothes is a given because nothing fit anymore, but I buy nicer things now. I'd really love to make myself over and buy some new boobs since they…
  • I have to say that I love halo top, but this is the second time I've opened a pint and the carton wasn't full as it should be. Seriously.....the pint I opened last night was only 3/4 full, and at $4.50...I'm feel starting to feel ripped off. I hope the other brands coming out are just as good because I'm going to stop…
  • I bought a coloring book too. It's relaxing and a good way to keep your mind and hands occupied. Find something you like to do. I've done crochet. I read. Go for a walk. What I will say however is...I've always been a nighttime snacker. Even now of any time of day is going to do me in it's going to be the after dinner…
  • Like you said...you're still new to this, but if you continue with your weight loss pursuit you'll start to see overtime how these occasional blips mean nothing. We're all going to be extra hungry some days. Celebratory events will happen. Cake and cookies will happen. LOL! You'll get to the point where you'll realize that…
