  • Yeah...that's how I'm feeling too. Ive lost about 4 of the 10 that I gained, and feel pretty satisfied where I'm at. Really don't see where I could drop another 6, so I figured I'm just going to end up a tad bit heavier.

  • My thought is that the schools don't like sugary snacks because some kids may get hyper. I could be mistaken though.... I don't think it's ok for teacher to be criticizing what kids bring to school. I got so pissed when my son was going to camp and they would discuss healthy foods. Kids that brought "healthy" foods got to…
  • Fit crunch chocolate peanut butter is a calorie bomb (unless you split it in half) but insanely delicious. Quest and pure protein are good too.
  • Nope. I should've just lit the cash on fire for all the good it did me.
  • Just keep up what you're doing. If you work hard and stay consistent you're going to be surprised by the amount of progress you make. It does take time but each session makes you better and stronger. Are you keeping track of your progress? Some days I don't feel like I'm making any headway but when I look at it on paper (I…
  • If I ate all that cabbage no one would want to be anywhere near me. Hmmmm..... Suddenly it doesn't sound too terrible.
  • Way to try and save it. An actual trainer (you aren't one, right?) is telling you you're wrong and still you want to insist that you're right. Ok. Guess I better attention to you because clearly you know more than a professional.
  • You wouldn't want to get too full or use too many calories so I'd go for a piece of fruit, snack pack of crackers, raw veggies or olives, hard boiled egg, small cup of yogurt.....
  • I suffered from BED. The thing about these issues is that of course the food is not the issue. The problem that's fueling the bingeing is. In my case it was the end of my marriage. You have to identify the root cause and deal with it in order to move forward. Something is driving you to it. You can overcome it though.
  • No. If a friend is upset because they overate I will try to be helpful, but I'm not going to decide to eat right along with them. Why would I? To make them feel better? Or use it as an excuse so I can indulge? My friends all have their moments and I have mine. There doesn't need to be any overlap.
  • Yeah...packed gyms suck, but everyone has a right to be there. Only other option is to workout during the off hours or workout at home.

  • I struggle with this a lot too. I've had to take a hardline with it and not keep anything sweet in the house. After a few days I find I start to lose my desire for it. Not that I still don't love all the sweet foods, but they aren't on my mind nearly as much.... On those occasions where I have to have a sweet treat, I'll…
  • Nothing but potatos? For a month???? For so many different reasons....no. The concept of losing weight is so simple. Don't complicate it and make it miserable....
  • One thing I read has stuck with me, and I try to use it myself. Before you start eating you have to HALT and ask yourself if you're either Hungry Angry Lonely Tired Usually it's one of those things that is the motivating factor behind the overeating.
  • Same exact thought here. LMAO!
  • Thank you.... And I know what you mean about puffy and pumped. Being a middle aged chick....I've kept my expectations low, but I don't think I'm walking away with nothing because my entire body feels different despite the fat gain. "Pumped" is the perfect word to describe it. No regrets at all.
  • Welcome!!! I haven't read through all the other replies, but getting started is quite simple. It's just a matter of slashing calories off of what you're currently eating. Logging all of your food here is a great idea so you can see exactly what you consume in a day and work off of that. If that gets to be monotonous…
  • I can't handle nearly as much weight as I can with glute bridges, so I don't know what my problem is.... Nooooo idea how people manage 300lbs, but seriously...more power to ya. I was really happy with my look once I started putting weight back on. 110 made me look skeletal, and I could see lymph nodes which was just plain…
  • I prefer weighing raw for accuracy. If I can't however, I'll weigh it cooked and just log it as a slightly higher weight. Say my cooked chicken is 3oz, I'll log it as 4oz. Or if it's 6oz cooked, I'll log as 8oz raw. I agree that it's never completely accurate anyway, so I just do my best and move along.
  • I don't know to say I gave up or not.... Since august I've gained 10lbs, which on my short body is making me feel huge. All I know is major life changes cause me to start eating my feelings. At first I went with it, figuring as long as I keep my workouts going... But, being newly single and feeling like a blimp just ain't…
  • I like it because of the change too. I added a few things from strong curves onto it and now it feels like the perfect mix. Weight/reps have been going up...up...up for me since I've started it. I'm actually surprised that Ive been able to do as much as I've done. But now with the upcoming cut all I can think is...this is…
  • I flipped back and forth like that for a while too, but yeah...I've reached the "hate myself" point. Getting myself back into a deficit has been HARD! It seriously has me wondering how could manage to lose 45lbs and now be struggling to lose a mere 6.....
  • The past two days have been my usual rest days, so I'll be working out tomorrow morning.
  • It depends. Obviously I can lose weight eating anything I want, but if I'm looking to stave off hunger (which I usually am.....) I stick with nonfat Greek yogurt, fruit/veggies, potatoes (they keep me full), shiritake noodles, protein in every way/shape/form, light soups.....
  • I'm not commenting to give advice but rather to express my thoughts.... I started this program a few weeks ago and really love it. I did quickly start to question the way the volume drops off as the weight increases though. As someone else pointed out to me, this program is basically all power days. While I'm enjoying it…
  • I had said I was done bulking...managed to lose 1lb, and now....here I am. I suppose I'm still bulking because this whole "put the effing fork down" thing just isn't working for me. 9lbs gained. Feeling fat. Sporting a muffin top. Abs? What abs?
  • It'll never go away entirely, but you can definitely improve its apprearance. Mine looks a lot better but it's still there. I've been concentrating on lowering my body fat and doing a lot of strength training. Between the two it's definitely helping, but it's taking alot of patience and perseverance.....
  • I prefer early morning workouts but not exclusively. Sometimes I'm just flat out tired, and as someone else already mentioned, my workouts suffered. Now I'm doing a compromise. Two days a week I wake up at 4:30 and get it done early. Then two days I workout in the evening. I don't let myself make excuses for missing…
  • I like mine a lot. Yeah...they were expensive (I took a pass on buying the stand) but it was worth it for me because I have to workout at home a lot, and I don't have space to store tons of dumbells. I'm small and short so they did take a little getting used to because of the size. Surprised that the guys find them so…
  • I dunno, but it isn't earning you an extra cheeseburger no matter how much of a stallion you think you are. Couple of fries maybe....
