Yes. I lost my craving to sugar and other processed food after gradually cutting back on them

It doesn't sound much but it is certainly better than losing weight super fast and regretting it. Have patience and you will see results sooner that you expect; when I calculated my calorie deficit I got 500/week too but ended losing 4 pounds in 2 weeks, so it's not that accurate. In any case do not consume less…

Been using MFP for 8 months now  Would love to have more friends and more yummy ideas from food diaries :yum: Plus loads of motivation :star:
-
Okay I'll try that! Hope I do lose weight  Thanks

Got it! Thanks

Not very young though  I'm 20 years old, a 3rd year medical student and right now I'm having my final exams, which will end on the 18th of June "plenty of time to gain weight" I really hope I can do damage control during summer vacation. I know you are right. All I can hope for is that those 1600 calories won't…

Thank you so much! This has been extremely helpful  It's really good to know that other people care about their micronutrients. I was starting to believe I was crazy since that's what my friends and family keep telling me  Thanks again

I did! It's really helpful. Thanks

Thank you so much! This has been very helpful! It's also nice to know that there're other people who track these stuff; cuz my friends and family have been calling me crazy since I started doing it :disappointed: Thanks again

This is a VERY good idea  Do you mind telling my what method do you use for doing that? Does MFP provide this feature for premium? I use a website called cron-o-meter and I don't know if it can track these stuff over the course of the week.

Well i'm sure not lifting heavy weights  I just starting using light weights about 4 months ago and I don't know when to switch to heavier ones :pensive: I normally use my stationary bike for 1 hour and do a little bit of cardio. But I don't do that now since I'm having my final exams, hence the question about still…

It's not a satiety problem actually, what I meant is that it leaves me "nutritionally" unsatisfied. You see, I love meeting my micronutrient goals, and I find that difficult by consuming only 1200 calories :pensive: and I don't want to use any type of supplementation. Maybe I need to obsess less about that??Because I'm…

I got 1630 calories for maintaining while being sedentery. But usually I set my activity level to "lightly active" because I walk a lot in my room. I think I can use my stationary bike, but it confuses me a lot because it's inaccurate. I usually do one hour in what I believe to be moderate effort, and it says I burn 350…

I walk all the time while studying, but I've already set my activity to lightly active. Which means I need to exercise :pensive:
-
I just checked and it's 1630 calories too  Guess I need to either cut back on food or exercise. Thanks!

Processed food doesn't taste so good anymore. Plus sugar and salt; I'm satisfied with less quantities of both. B)

Thank you so much! I'll try my best o:) o:)

I'm getting enough vitamin A but I'm not sure about EPA/DHA. Wouldn't walnuts cover that? And I know he also recommended eating seaweed but I still have the same problem  it's not sold in my region...many stuff aren't which makes it difficult sometimes. I only got flaxseeds a couple of days ago. The nutribar…

Thank you so much! I can get the things you said except for brazil nuts :/ I don't know where to get them and they're not sold anywhere close, so I'll try to improvise  This is really reassuring! Thanks again
-
 :hushed: Got it! Thanks
-
Thanks a lot

Thanks a lot for the suggestions! I will switch to full fat dairy and get some avocados and walnuts. No I never considered that  I 'm trying to get all nutrients from natural food sources. Are they good? "I never ate fish before so I wasn't really concerned about it" I also don't take a multivitamin, my intake if…

It's 60% Carbs, 20% fat and 20% protein "which is 60 grams or so" Do you mean that's more than I need?
-
It is
-
I'm not hungry or anything since I eat lots of raw fruits, vegetables and cooked beans. But if increasing fat a little bit will fix the problem, then I'm all for it  I think a ratio of 50:30:20 might be good? "The 20 is protein, about 60 grams"
-
Well, I'm following the 60:20:20 rule and since I'm allowed 1200 calories/day I can only have 23-27 grams of fat. This is why my fat intake is low :pensive:

Eat to live - Joel Fuhrman "It promotes a strict vegan diet but it also has plan meals for non vegans and lots of healthy recipes" The body book by Cameron Diaz. I read the summary which was, like, fifty pages and information-packed. Don't know whether the original book will be similar.
