Dates
Do red crunchy dates have the sama amount of calories as dried dates "Medjools for example"? They aren't as sweet, and I hope they're not as calorie dense. TIA

Real hunger vs craving
Hey guys, how can I tell whether I'm really hungry or not? Like, are there any applicable ways to find out? I saw once on a TV show something called "the apple test", but it doesn't work on me because sometimes what I'm craving is apples  Thanks in advance!

salt: yes or no
First I heard that not consuming salt at all was the best for health, then I heard that no, a little salt was actually good for the body. So which is it? And why? I'm currently consuming 0.5-1 teaspoon/day, is that too much?

Too many nuts?
I just consumed 950 calories from nuts "cashews and pistachios" and I was wondering if there are health risks related to it besides weight gain resulting from too many calories? Maybe you can take a look at my diary and tell me what you think. Thanks!

Joints popping
A month ago I started to notice that my joints make a popping sound when I get up from bed or do a sudden movement. There's no pain or anything so should I be worried or not? PS: I'm following a plant based diet "high in carb, low in fat" so I think maybe the low fat intake could be related. Any ideas?

accurate food weighing
I was wondering if the outer cover of some seeds and beans "for example lupins" is included in their calorie measurement. For example I eat 100 grams of lupins, but when I measure them without the outer covering thing they are reduced to 80 grams which makes a difference in their nutritional value. The same problem occurs…

Cowpeas vs black eyed peas
What's the difference between cowpeas and black eyed peas? When I asked this question on google I got the answer that they're both the same thing, still when I searched for black eyed peas I got "100 grams : 90 calories" and cowpeas "100 grams : 336 calories" and MFP says pretty much the same thing :/ So which is which?…

1600 calories
I'm consuming 1600 calories/day even though MFP allows only 1270. I can adhere to this amount but I find it unsatisfying. My question is, can I still lose weight by consuming 1600 calories? Bearing in mind that I'm 5 ft 2 in and that I'm 128 lbs. Also, I'm not in a hurry. :)

Afraid I'm not getting all essential nutrients.
I have switched to a vegetarian diet about 3 weeks ago after reading "Eat to live by Joel Fuhrman". My food now consists of fresh fruits, vegetables, beans and small amounts of nuts "0.5 oz/day". With no added sugar or pasta/rice. I know it was the right decision, but I'm really edgy around food for fear that I'm missing…

Food and skin-health
I recently switched to a lacto-ovo vegetarian diet, and everything was Ok for the first two weeks. Only a few days ago I started to notice that the skin on the back of my hands looks really dry and that my lips are chapped. Any explanations? I'm currently going through my final exams, and my friends say that stress can do…
