Food and skin-health

I recently switched to a lacto-ovo vegetarian diet, and everything was Ok for the first two weeks. Only a few days ago I started to notice that the skin on the back of my hands looks really dry and that my lips are chapped.
Any explanations? I'm currently going through my final exams, and my friends say that stress can do that to skin. Is that true?
Bearing in mind that my fat intake is less than 20 grams, that I don't consume egg yolks, and that I replaced walnuts with peanuts because that's what Mom bought this time :/ Also, my water intake is adequate, I guess "10 cups/day".
PS: I really don't want to depend on moisturizers or lotions :/

Thanks in advance!

Well, I'm following the 60:20:20 rule and since I'm allowed 1200 calories/day I can only have 23-27 grams of fat. This is why my fat intake is low :pensive:

I have my fat set at 30%. Maybe you have to tweak your macros around. Are you hungry eating high carb, low fat and protein?

I eat avocados (high in fat) and lose weight. Also almonds.
    Open diary.
    Good fats vs bad fats.
Have you ever considered fish oil pills if you don't eat fish at least once a week?
Do you take a daily multivitamin with zinc, A, C?

That is more protein than you need.

I assumed the 60 was carbs

I'm not hungry or anything since I eat lots of raw fruits, vegetables and cooked beans. But if increasing fat a little bit will fix the problem, then I'm all for it  I think a ratio of 50:30:20 might be good? "The 20 is protein, about 60 grams"

It's 60% Carbs, 20% fat and 20% protein "which is 60 grams or so"
Do you mean that's more than I need?

Thanks a lot for the suggestions! I will switch to full fat dairy and get some avocados and walnuts.

No I never considered that  I 'm trying to get all nutrients from natural food sources. Are they good? "I never ate fish before so I wasn't really concerned about it"
I also don't take a multivitamin, my intake if vitamins A and C is above 100%. However, I think I might be low on zinc :persevere:
Any suggestions? No other way except pills?

If you want to be lowish fat, fine. But let me tell you from experience 20g is NOT fun. I completely lost my libido at this level. Horrible. I still tend to drop this low but have to remind myself to eat fat because it is just much easier to function, especially hormonally. Also, make sure you're taking some fish oil supplement.

    I would say eat more;
    - avocados, fish or flax seed oil pills, and any kind of nuts.
    - Also vitamin E pills

I lost my libido and a lot of hair! It is growing back since I increased my healthy fats like avocados, almonds, etc. And I started to drink 90 to 100 oz of water everyday.
