  • Be careful, sometimes there may be a cap on utilities and if you go over, you have to pay the difference. Definitely ask, but yes, usually utilities included is a good thing. Less headache IMO
  • LOL it never happens to me. I hate being catcalled, it makes me extremely uncomfortable. Idk why guys do it. I've been approached several times by guys in grocery stores that asked if I had a significant other or if I wanted to go on a date, but they were discrete about it and I'd always tell them I have a bf before…
  • Thanks everyone. I know it's not as uncommon as I think it is, but moving alone is just frightening. My family will be 7(ish) hours away, so it's not horrible. Definitely could've been worse. I find solace in the fact that I did this when I was 18 for college, right after highschool, but my family was only 2-3 hours away…
  • Thanks!! Didn't find that specific one but I did see a few cute ones. They're having a sale right now!
  • You look amazing, great job!! If you don't mind me asking, where did you get that dress in the 2nd pic? I love the neckline!
  • I'm able to fit into size 6 jeans now, albiet a bit tight! 25 more lbs to go and I'll be heading to maintenance land :)
  • Amazing what 2 months can do!! Nice job!!
  • It looks like fat more than loose skin to me. Like it doesnt really have the appearance of loose saggy skin. I'd honestly get into weights at this point. Diet alone is effective for weight loss, but working out tones up our body. Even my sister who's maybe 110 lbs has some belly fat.
  • Frozen dinners are also a staple in my diet, even though they're not ideal. It's just so much easier/faster to pop something in the microwave for a few mins and get an entire meal from it! Any particular kind you recommend?
  • One reason is we now have drive thru's everywhere. People can sit in the comfort of their own car and order heaping amounts of food for a small price. Heck, we now even have drive thru's for banks and pharmacies. It's a sad situation all around... I read that in America, 7/10 people are considered overweight or obese. It's…
  • Don't even give it another thought, just hop back on the wagon tomorrow. I gained 6 lbs after a week long vacation/cruise. This was with eating a ton of yummy foods/alcohol and not regretting a single ounce of it. I lost the 6 lbs in 3 days and I'm still losing more. A single day of overeating is just a blip in the grand…
in I overate. Comment by xOlaf May 2018
  • I don't log at all but I do keep track, mentally, of what I eat throughout the day. It feels like a balance for me because I don't want to just eat whenever I'm hungry (which is almost always). I gained so much weight because of that very reason alone. On the other hand, I don't want to have to take my phone out to log…
  • Microwavable food all the way! Pop it in the microwave for a few mins and you are done! Prep time? 1 min MAYBE to pull it out of the freezer and unwrap anything. I honestly despise cooking. From the research of a recipe, grocery shopping for multiple ingredients, meal prepping, actual cooking, THEN dishwashing. It's all…
  • Boy are the weekends hard... Not doing too well these past few days, but I'll get there again! I try to remind myself of the bigger picture, that is I'm still down at least 10 lbs compared to a month ago. Can't complain too much!
  • Would love to join!! SW: 165 CW: 151 GW: 120 We can all do this!!!
  • Hey hey everyone!! Hope you're all staying on track and living a healthy life :) I've lost that pound I gained plus some! Yay! Approx a month ago, I started at 164.8, I weighed myself this morning and I'm down to 151.4. Can't wait to hit the 140's!!! So excited to NOT be doing any kind of fad diet, still have my "bad" meal…
  • Congrats on being consistent with logging!! I actually dont log at all - I use myfitnesspal as a tool to look up calories and I calculate it in my head throughout the day. I also gained a pound (couldn't stay away from the daily weigh ins), but I know it'll shed soon. On a positive note, all my cravings for fast food is…
  • I don't have diabetes or live in NY, but I just want to let you know that you're not alone!! There are actually forums out there dedicated to diabetics, perhaps try exploring those for support as well as this forum for nutrition or exercise tips.
  • Today: I did ok, I overate by about 150 calories, but it was still a good day for me. I've officially lost 11.8 pounds in almost a month, so I'm happy. I expect the weight loss to start slowing down soon, so I will no longer do daily weigh-ins to avoid being discouraged moving forward. It absolutely is mind boggling! I…
  • She probably meant she's trying to get down to 150.
  • I completely agree!! I think the reason why my "diets" have failed so quickly in the past was because I restricted myself too much too fast and didn't think of it as a lifestyle change. I think once we're able to accept the idea that we can honestly eat anything we want but just in appropriate portions, it becomes much…
  • Hope you guys are doing well! I was craving fries yesterday, I mean, REALLY craving them. So I went and got a small fries at MCD and it was the best thing ever Lol. I did eat healthy the rest of the day and there's no guilt there at all. I wish we could make a group chat of some sorts :(
  • Hey everyone, I'd like to join as well!! After my one week long vacation, I ballooned up to 165 lbs, my heaviest ever :( I'm now down to 154 lbs, so 25 more lbs would be perfect!! (I'm also short) So far, this weight loss thing has been fairly doable for me. I'm 3 weeks in. No longer feeling hungry or restricted. I eat…
  • Yes it is!! In my case, it was more like the "Freshman 25" :(
  • Hm. It was just odd to me because for the past few weeks, I've been losing approx 2 lbs a week. Comes the implementation of exercise and nothing was lost, not an ounce. But it makes sense now if it's really water retention!
  • I'm making it very soon!! Thank you so much for posting the recipe! Do you have a blog or something with different recipes? I'm getting tired of the same ol boring stuff I make all the time!
  • Found it!! Thanks :) For anyone that's curious: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10500016/low-calorie-protein-cheesecake/p1
  • Yes, sometimes I like to eat out of the pan cause I just can't be bothered washing another dish! But I also like to drink orange juice in a wine glass haha. But these are some of my meals lately.
  • I love chicken alfredo. My go to is either "Classico" or "Bertolli" brand low-cal alfredo sauces as they make the best from what I've experienced. Usually I buy two jars and go home to cook up a bunch of chicken and heat up the alfredo sauce. Get 6 tupperwares and portion out my chicken and sauces. This comes out to…
  • Thanks for the recipe, much appreciated.
