  • Fortunately I had not cleared my home inbox, so given @Sunny_Bunny_ tip here is the link she mentions: "Want to pack a Wild lunch for work, school, travel, or a trip with your family? Get 9 Wild, fat-burning, packable meals to keep you fit on the go " Edit: link in email text failed to copy so here:…
  • @karlottap like you I was tested for environmental allergens like dust and pollens. Despite my reaction when trees are in bloom and chronic sinus in dusty Bangalore, the tests came back negative. Rhematoid arthritus inflammation also back negative. All awesome. I suspect @DittoDan is on the right track with gut biome as a…
  • I wrote above @phrick thanks so much I love love love them,. Would be helpful to others if I put an article in that sentance! Feta cheese and chive Biscuits AKA Scones (for the Brits, Kiwis, Aussies etc) quote from @Phrick "I also really like to make theseSour Cream and Chive Biscuits " I knew eggs, butter, salt and almond…
  • @phrick thanks so much I love love love them, especially as they did not cause a sinus headache, nor a sore throat, nor even massive sneezing fit. Nothing, just beautiful, peaceful yummyness. Creme fraische and butter on top so lots of ingredients that I can eat. Trust me, my list at the momment is short so this is…
  • @Phrick "biscuits" AKA scones for the Brits and Aussies amongst us are yum!! Made a half batch and had them hot. Approved by my carb loving husband as well as this low carb queen. Carb king added apricot jam to his whereas I added creme fraische and butter on mine.
  • Both @karlottap and @fit_goat posts resonate with me. Some days a silly kitty is just what I need to see and make me smile, others something more deep and meaningful. Especially love the scientific links and supportive posts.
  • Baking powder and baking soda acquired. Tricky to locate in local supermarket. Now I know what they look like (not same as Australia) and that they are not in a baking section much easier. Ready to go with @Phrick's suggested biscuits.
  • Love your distracted cream. Sounds yum. Not heard of it. Will investigate.
  • Brilliant. Thanks @Phrick!!
  • Good reminder. Bump. Bump. Bump. I am wishing that adding pictures worked on Android. Love the Hippos and @KenSmith108 is always reliable for a funny pic to add in a thread which I appreciate. Thxs!
  • The link requires a login to pinterest within mfp. Problematic on android. Is it cloud free bread by food.com? I will look it up on pinterest seperately to find it, thanks! With my crazy allergy reduction mission I now know many of my low carb staples like bacon hate me so I am tempted to explore low carb breads. Thanks…
  • I was a firm believer in fibre keeping things regular, despite my own body tending to drop rabbitt droppings not logs TMI. Fibre may not be the answer. I felt awesome when I dropped processed food and moved on to mostly green leafy veg n protein but gut was still problematic and headaches. As above, Magnessium -ates are…
  • 45km + cycle today. Beautiful dutch canal scenery. 5 hours with a bullet proof coffee and an iced latte as fuel. 30km in at 1ish in afternoon I had a metwurst stick. After ride Vietnamese basil and beef and pak choy. Later a small almond meal pancake and a 100ml protein shake. Good health day. Early night.
  • @slimzandra heck yeah. My husband advises that 4 letter word combines hell and the F word. Probably entirely appropriate choice. I get down, i get up again, etc song running in my head. @baconslave has my full admiration. I slipped onto a carby slope when I wanted something that did not cause a headache and wasnt just…
  • Should also mention courgette (zuchini), celery and cucumber.
  • Gut Reaction also by catalyst episode 1: https://youtu.be/f3iOlRUQkrw And episode 2: https://youtu.be/9zuL9dQT1Js Sure, you need to get past the Aussie accents (my home country). This one has a focus on fibre that I don't buy into but interesting nonetheless. Inflammation due to processed food I definitely do buy into.…
  • Green leafies such as spinach, Kale, broccoli, bimi, bok choy, pak choy, collard greens plus cauliflower, avocado, brussel sprouts, lettuce, and as you said mushrooms, , tomato, asparagus. Non root vegies are the target for lower carbs.
  • Cheese n nuts were on my use with caution list. Too tempting to overeat. Now I realise for me they cause inflamation and headaches so both off of my edigble list.

  • Thank you @canadjineh, much appreciated. My girlfriend described her body like a unique world in which millions of cells are merrily living their lives. Am I creating the right environment to keep them happy. Aside from laughing at my visualisation of some cells partying on Ibiza, it helps me care more for my body, like I…
  • @KenSmith108 recipe please! Or where am I joining you both... got to thwart those dangerous criminals
  • Tomatoes drizzled with olive oil, proscuitto, olives, prawns, capscicum, more olive oil. Yum.
  • Thought for tough times: if your best friend was physically or mentally struggling with life, what would you do? My guess is something kind or generous like offering to take some of their load, listen or treat to a day spa. If that someone is you, how do you treat you? Personally, I can be kind of mean to me. My friend…
  • Ps love your labrador photo @ForbiddenFruit What are your macros or % or #grams fat vs protein vs carb daily?? Check the launch pad for some great discussions on low carb and finding the level that works best for you.
  • Your diary looks disciplined. Couple of low fat (higher sugar) treats in there and some nuts but nothing jumps out. My only other ideas are you may not be eating enough (body rebelling) or you may have a food intollerance causing some inflamation. Call in the experts @wabmester, @baconslave, @sunny_bunny, @dittodan,…
  • @baconslave, hugs!! Wish you courage, strength, and bacon. Good luck dealing with this emotional roller coaster however best you can. More hugs
  • Well done for your resolve and dedication. Without checking your diary (busy now): Suggest you measure your body it may be changing shape even if the scale hates you. You may be gaining muscle and that is a good but heavy thing. Are you weighing your food accurately? Digital scales help folk from adding 10 to 20% more than…
  • 400mg mag citrate here, also solved a friend's very bad leg cramps quickly. He was willing to try it but doubted it would help. Both very happy it did.
  • Hi there. Eat what tastes great, does not cause your body inflamation and helps keep you full for longer. Experiment and have some fun. In my case I love real bacon and worked out recently that it does not love me. If you want turkey sausage go for it, as others suggest adding fats in can help if you want to not eat for…
  • Wow some great ideas. Thanks!!
  • I admit to hitting a frustration wall. Whilst mum was here I noticed french pastries and bread do not trigger my sinus reaction. Tomatoes, spinach, avocado and a week old zuchini, numerous sauces, pepper, chocolate, nuts, yoghurt, cheeses, lets face it, dairy :( , seafood, metwurst, sausage, bacon, olives, pickled or…
