Omg this is me! Every year is the same - I struggle to lose in the summer and then as soon as Oct hits whoosh!
-
I found my Fitbit overestimated my total calorie burn - I would often get 3000+ since swapping to Garmin I am usually around the 2700 mark
-
I have a really random pattern that I can't explain- I am always up a pound every fri morning - thurs is usually a pretty active day but i still jump up a pound even if I have not been active - it's been this pattern for over a year! I can't explain it and i simply have to suck it up!! :)
-
Fitbit always overestimated my daily calorie burn by atound 400 calories - this is in compatison to my Garmin
-
Steroid injection was the only cure for me - instant relief!
-
Oooh lucky you! New boobs are on my list but having TT done in 2 weeks! Eek! Am worried about maintaining my weight also but figure just keep doing what I'm doing and try and ignore the fluctuations that will come post surgery - good luck!
-
I have always had Salter ultimate accuracy - brill scales
-
I had my gallbladder out a few years back - I found eating eggs used to aggregate it
-
I was a 42E at the start of my journey - now a 38B after 112Ib loss..... deflated is the description I would use!!
-
I lost 8.5 stone doing SW - I have been at target for 4 years - :)
-
Yep I love to do sprint intervals on the treadmill - feel like I’m dying by the time I’ve finished them though! :)
-
I am also a Garmin convert - I had a charge and Surge - I got fed up with the inaccuracies of the gps compared to my husbands Garmin and so ditched the Fitbit - this was before the ionic came out though so I can’t comment on the hoc accuracy - love my Garmin though and also find that my daily calorie burn is lower…

Hi! I feel your pain! I had a shoulder issue and scans came up clear and I was sent to PT - after a year of this and cortisone shots I was referred for surgery - I would press for further intervention
-
Absolutely! But there is nothing like having to get on a scale and have someone log your weight! I’ve been a SW member for 5 years now and I guess it’s just habit :) I don’t rigorously follow the plan as I find calorie counting more flexible for me
-
I do both - I like to keep going to SW group for accountability - having lost 9 stone i’d like to keep it that way! :)
-
Yep I have bicep pain - it's referred from my shoulder which I had surgery on last year - still not right though.... I'd get it checked out
-
Can you specify what you mean by 'long term'? Just interested as I have pretty much maintained for 4 years now
-
9 stone lost doing slimming world - I disagree that it teaches you nothing - it teaches you to cook healthy/nutritious meals from scratch rather than relying on ready meals which I was guilty of in the past :)
-
I can get a total of 3k per day if I have an active day with a decent workout
-
Interesting as I have had spotting on occasions after running! I don't have any answers I'm afraid
-
Thank you!
-
That's a pretty steep mileage for only 3 weeks in - be careful as I developed PF training for my first half which I actually had to drop out of - I was seriously gutted! Keep your long and interval run and maybe a couple of easy paced 5ks and take it from there?
-
I lost 8.5 stone doing SW am maintaining now so for me it worked!
-
I love my wine and couldn't be without it at the weekend ;) At the start of my weightloss journey I switched to spritzers so I could still have a large glass and not feel deprived 120 pounds down and maintaining while still enjoying my wine! :)
-
I hear you! I managed a 11 pound gain in a week - for back on it and dropped 5Ibs in a day - the rest came of slower but I was back to normal after 10 days
-
I've been struggling this last week also! No weight lost at all - maybe up a little too and no reason for it - hopefully now it's cooling down I can drop a bit!
-
Be very careful - listen to your body- I had a similar thing that I ignored and kept training - 28 months and a surgery later I'm still not right! Get it checked out
-
I have been a slimming world member for 4 years now and have maintained my goal weight for 2 (apart from my last pregnancy!) I dip in and out of plan now I am maintaining but that's just to switch things up! I lost 8 stone in 17 months with a combination of SW and pretty intense exercise (cardio and strength)
-
Yes! I've had this recently during and after my runs- I have managed to get rid of it by using a gentle face wash followed by moisturiser- all cleared up now! Phew! It is horrid - hope you get on top of it!

Thanks for all the responses! Regarding my activity level - it is currently set to sedentary - which isn't technically true although I have a desk job. maybe I should set to active? I will also reduce my rate of loss to 1Ib a week to see if it makes a difference....
