  • @RMC1995 That is a really great deal. I've had my flex for a couple years now and really like it :) Can't seem to convince my husband to use his consistently though
  • Happy October! The scale surprised me this morning. I guess i was retaining more bloating than i had expected this month but now that that's over i feel like I'm in a really strong place to kick off some goal achievement. • about 5 years ago I was on Remeron. It didn't directly make me gain weight, however I found while on it that I just really didn't care too much about a lot of things - weight loss included. So if the drug allowed me to feel happy when I ate a piece of cake for example, I had no real incentive to not eat the cake. I also…
  • I haven't tried prepping these myself, but I did see a blog where they used cloud bread rather than regular english muffins for freezer breakfast sandwiches.
  • @RMC1995 Wow, free fitbit? what type and where did you get that deal? I'm absolutely in love with my fitbit flex
  • Thank you all for the support. I really needed this today <3
  • Unfortunately I've never managed to successfully defrost anything in the microwave without bits 'cooking' before it's thawed in the center. Since I wanted to do breading on the outside this would have been kinda problematic and not something I was prepared to cope with at that point in the evening. It's a good thought, and…
  • Way to go @mrssunshine78! That's quite an accomplishment
  • Hello! I loved the support and community of this thread from last month! It was great hearing all of the accomplishments and constructive feedback. This month I'm setting a moderate goal 4 pounds over the course of 5 weeks. I'm nearing my target weight which means I'll be slowing down a bit as the pounds will theoretically…
  • @FreshBrew92 I bought a cheap digital scale online for about $15. not sure the brand, but it does to the nearest 0.2 pound. Honestly you really don't need more precise than half pound though because your body weight is actually a range within which you fluctuate based on time of day/month/etc... trying to get too precise…
  • This is the exact reason I took up meal prepping! The easiest way for me to manage this was to make several different meals that could be packaged up into portions and frozen. I take a few out of the freezer every few days as I need them so that they can be thawed out and ready to microwave for lunches and dinners. I've…

  • thank you @2tall4thisworld and sorry i messed your mention earlier. we must have been typing at the same time. I'm glad you've got what sounds like a great supportive roomate to support you. I agree you're lucky you didn't pass out and I'm glad that you're OK now and know to keep an eye on it. @glassofroses I'll do what I…
  • Thank you so much @rianneonamission and @glassofroses. I really appreciate the kind thoughts. I'm taking things one day at a time and I know that once I'm able to be with the rest of my family I'll have some closure. @glassofroses I'm so sorry to hear this is happening to your family. Those doctors should be ashamed of…

  • I've heard that making it can be a lot of work. I'll look for some the next time I'm near Meijer. Even if I keep the eggs it sounds like a great addition.

  • @EarlGayTea, That looks fantastic. I'm glad that you liked the recipe, and I'll have to try it with kimchi next time. Do you make your own or buy it?

  • Hi Felicia! those are the ones I've been using as well. I have a set of the 1 compartment and a set of the 3 compartment. I agree that they're a bit cheap but they seem to work well enough and there are enough of them that I'm not worried about losing 1 or 2 to normal wear and tear.

  • I grew up on a steady diet of white rice literally every meal (cooked the persian way where you steam it in a saucepan as decreed by my VERY persian father). I am now in love with my little basic cheap rice cooker. It's WAY easier to use and the warm feature is amazing for steaming and best of all there's no need to mind…
  • I picked a time in my life when I was a healthy active adult (I was 22 at the time and was an extremely active archaeology student meaning I did lots of fieldwork. I am now 29 and work at a desk) I decided I wanted to fit back into the same clothing I wore during that period, so I approximated what I used to weigh. Because…
  • Go with sedentary and then just log your activity (either with a tracker or the old fashioned way). If you log everything properly it will adjust for you pretty well in my experience. Never feel like you have to eat past the point where you're satisfied just because those extra calories show up though. all they really mean…

  • Ok, here's a selection from the recipes that I've collected. Some I've tried and some I haven't but they're all very different from one another. Right now I've been making 3-4 different preps on the weekends that time permits and freezing some of the ones that seem like they would lend themselves to that sort of thing.…
