  • This just never came up in any classes or in my reading material. Now I just talk back to it. lol Thanks for sharing your experiences!
  • Right after surgery powders made me so ill and this is the only one I could tolerate. I also like the small amount needed. Hope it works for you as well. I also started with a sample because I didn't want to end up with a bunch of stuff I didn't like.
  • Awesome! Skylara you look terrific!
  • Try some crystal light or propel. If that doesn't work I would definitely bring it up at your next appointment. Maybe they will have another suggestion to make it easier for you.
  • I believe it was renaejae that recommended Musclegen Genepro. It is the best protein I have tried. It has 30g of protein in a Tbs and has the least taste. I can actually mix it in coffee and not notice the taste. I can't wait until I use up my huge canister of unflavored Isopure to order more Genepro. The frugal part of me…
  • Didn't know about mine til I was told it was repaired during surgery. I read about it when I got home and found out it is very common.
  • It still hurts my belly if I drink too fast. Its a reminder to slow down for me. I don't drink ice in my water so I wouldn't know if it makes a difference but that makes sense.
  • Good to hear its not just me. It was just one of those little things that I wasn't sure about it. So I guess I am normal! lol
  • Awesome 6 month progression! I love seeing before and after pics. I am almost 2 months out from my wls and this is very inspiring for me.
  • Welcome! Congrats on your surgery. This is an awesome group.
  • Good to see you back! I am just starting to add some vegetables but when I say add it is a leaf of lettuce maybe 1 boiled carrot. I did have a few zucchini noodles last night with meat sauce and I did well with them. I am at about a 1/2 cup of food in total. I still don't eat everything on my plate but I do eat my protein…
  • Welcome! Great bunch of people and support here.
  • Welcome! You will get support and info here. I always accept friend requests.
  • Welcome! Congrats on your upcoming surgery. This is an awesome group. I had my surgery (VSG) 11/23/15. Feel free to add me as a friend if you like. I will answer any questions as best as I can. If you go back and read some older posts you will find a wealth of info.
  • Pretty much how I feel. I did not watch a full episode of Skin Tight but I found it to be a little more interesting. Not sure if I will go down that road in the future. It did give me some information that I did not know like the varicose veins making surgery more difficult and the nipple removal and reattachment with the…
  • I like this. I never saw or heard it before and I will keep it in mind. It is just about the way my body reacts to carbs but I never thought about it until I saw this. Thanks!
  • Thanks for the meatball recipe. They look amazing and I have everything to make them but the ground turkey. Oh well a trip to the store. Those wontons also look yummy!
  • I am over 7 weeks from being sleeved. Moist cooked chicken works well for me. I use a slow or pressure cooker. One of my go to items is the canned chicken breast. Never ate it before my surgery but tried it on a recommendation from my nut. It is super soft and has juice with it. I add it to salads and soups to meet my…
  • LOL! We gotta keep a sense of humor about it. I was prepared for the saggy skin but what bothers me the most is my turkey neck! I've thought about gathering skin on the back of my neck with duck tape. Wouldn't do it but the fact that I thought about it freaks me out a little. I guess we better worry when my husband can't…
  • Making me hungry also! All I had was a protein shake, blah. This gives me a future dinner idea.
  • Looks like your doing well on your carbs. My nut. wants me to get at least 40g a day. I still have a hard time getting them in due to my focus on protein. There are many benefits of carbs. including fiber, brain function and yes even weight loss. Just focus on good carbs. We all pretty much know good from bad.
  • Awesome job!
  • Sometimes we just need to take a step back and remember how far we've come and what it took to get there. Sounds like you have done awesome. Things will slow down we can't keep loosing like the first few months. Sounds like you have in mind what to do. Pat yourself on the back for coming this far. Start each day with a…
  • Oh my! cabennett99 that looks awesome. Great choices. I went out to eat for the first time since sleeved and was excited to have a cup of soup. Had to take half home. LOL It is nice to get out and go to our favorite places and then have leftovers for another day.
  • Wow you have had so many hoops to jump through and more to go. You are a woman of strength and perseverance. Insurance can be a bear. I hope the rest of the process goes smoothly and quickly for you.
  • The first week after surgery was probably the hardest part for me. Not with pain but boredom and I was so sick of the liquid diet. It gets better every day. Ok some days still feel like crap but it does get better. I was sleeved 11/23/15. I will always accept a friend request. I do my best to check on everybody progress…
  • I agree, it does look great. Thanks for letting us know where to find the recipe. I will be making this one.
  • I have read on some other sites to bake them on a low temp. of 250 degrees. They don't say the reason for the low temp but I thought that maybe its so low to keep the protein powder from being compromised. I am going to play around with the recipe and see what happens. I need to pick up some ingredients first. It will be…
  • My Doctors office said they would only decline you if you go above your program starting weight or gain while on your liquid diet before surgery. I'm sure all insurances and surgeons are different. Sounds like your general dr. is not worried about it so I wouldn't worry either. Just keep doing what your suppose to do.
