If you deprive yourself of food you want too much, you're going to cave at some point (or most people would). If you eat less calories than you burn (but don't eat too little) you'll lose weight, and you're much more likely to keep it off. I don't log that here either. I use my fitbit, but I don't sync the two. I want to lose weight, but I also want to keep within a healthy calorie range, so I don't eat my calories back. Having my exercises logged here just messes with that somehow..

Hi. I'm also 5'8" (I think xD. Not used to feet and inches). Right now I'm at 230Ibs, already lost about 5,7. Not much but I like that it's going in the right direction :) I goal weight is 155Ibs, so I have a lot to get rid of. Would be nice to have a little support :)
