Need buddies, I can't do this on my own.

Hey everyone, I'm new to this whole thing and in need of a lot of support. Ive 130lbs to lose and have no idea how to do it. I've spent years trying weight watchers and slimming world which havent worked. Cause lets face it, If someone gives you a huge list of things you can noy eat, your going ro want to eat them more, well thats me. I'd lose some then gain some because I'd deprive myself or get annoyed because I want one of the cakes the kids made at school and dont understand why I can't, that alls the classes do, full of can't. So now I'm going down the calorie route, I need to teach myself I can have what I want, within reason and lose weight. I want to start weights again too but its been years and I'm now 19st, where the hell do I start.

Sorry long winded but you get the jist :)
Any advice is welcomed

    You can do this!!!
Put in all the necessary info and stay within the calorie limit set out for you. Weightloss is simply calories in vs calories out so as long as you're using more than you take in you'll be fine. Welcome to the mfp family I'm sending you a request xx

Ive got your request thank you. I think once I get back into the habit of things I'll be ok but its getting back into it that I'm going to find hard, if that makes any sense lol

Tbf I would have been better off spending the monthly fee on bog roll, that would have been more useful. But hey ho, lesson learnt ha

My advice would be start slowly: small sustainable changes add up!! This isn't an all or nothing journey. Often times 1 slip up would leave me feeling like failure and I would simply give up. These missteps are your FAIL (First Attempt In LEARNING). :)

Hey, I'm new too to MFP. I'm a fitness coach and have been tracking everything I eat for nearly 10 years now. Feel free to message me for anything, big or small! We can do this together!

Hey guys, I've been doing this for a couple of weeks and incorporating sworkit. The 2 apps will sync together and it has helped me lose 2 lbs so far. Feel free to ask me any questions!

If you deprive yourself of food you want too much, you're going to cave at some point (or most people would). If you eat less calories than you burn (but don't eat too little) you'll lose weight, and you're much more likely to keep it off. Most people following diets gain it all back (they even tend to add some extra).
I just had a piece of chocolate because I've been craving it for a few days. No big deal, I'm still going to keep within my calorie limit for today, just make sure you log everything =)

I also like the saying "You messed up your diet and you didn't exercise today - So what? You didn't ruin anything. Get back on track tomorrow. If you have one flat tire, do you slash the other three?"
I think a lot of us need to keep reminding ourself of that ;)

Hi! I'm Krista and I am also new. I have lost 20lbs prior to joining mfp. I learned to take "quit" and "can't" out of my vocabulary. The only bad thing you can do is quit or not try. Everyone tries, and all of us have failed at some point or another, but keep going because you won't get the results you want if you quit. Also, find your motivation. It could be family friends, whatever your inspiration is, keep it in your mind when you work out and eat.

You know what, your right. Can't and quit aren't in my dictionary. If I have a bad day, theb so be it, pick yourself up and try again. If I dont fail, I wont learn. As far as motivation from family and friends, unfortunately there is none which is where I thought I'd come one here. You''s all seem nice and the fact you's are willing to help strangers, hats off to you all. Thank you tho, your comment did make me have a think :)
