OP, do you take metformin in relation to your diabetes? One of the possible side-effects of that medication is disruption of taste... Can be a metallic or bitter taste all the time.

I really think you should see your doctor about this. Taste and smell disorders are more common than you might think, and can often be resolved. Surely it would be worth eliminating any physical causes for your problem?

Realistically, you can't. You can only estimate. The numbers provided on most sites that give a number for 'running', 'walking', etc are generic and often bear no relation to the calories you burn. Exercise equipment tends to overestimate a lot. A better way is to use a calculator that uses your heart-rate as that will…
