Thanks so much!!! I will also give those podcasts a listen!

I actually did attend AA a few years back! I read "this naked mind" last night, made so much sense to me, and they have a "30 day experiment" which everyday they send you info, a video and a piece of journal to fill in. I know I cant do moderation. Gonna try my best!

It's the bane of my existence!!!! Even if I try track before, after the first 3 I lose inhibition and bleeeuuuuggghhhh
-
I'm such an all or nothing person! Even if I say I'm gonna have 3, I wont..... I think I'm gonna have to go cold Turkey!!!!!

Not 12 weeks.... but I did it in 16

Just thought I'd update everyone here. I posted this in April and September I competed and managed to place 5th in South Africa at IBFF. ♡

Hi There! Yes! I competed last year Sept. I used a prep coach, started with him 16 weeks out... was immediately put on a 1200 calorie ketogenic diet... In the last few weeks of prep I was eating around 800 cals a day and doing around 4hours exercise a day. Then when I stopped the 2.5 hours cardio a day and ate more than…

Well yes, you see this is actually one of my heavier weights, because I'm so small I usually hover around 46kgs... which is a lot lower than I currently am. So I am trying to lose body fat, not exactly maintain. But I'm just tired of screwing my body over by eating so little. I feel like my weight training is in vain as…

I don't understand.... granted I'm very small... 4"11.... I eat around 1200 to 1300 calories daily and it's a lot of food and I feel perfectly healthy and energised!!
-
Just a note... I've been consistently exercising for over a year... its just the last 4 weeks I've been focusing on diet.. I do measure myself... I'm due to do it again Sunday so we'll see... Water retention may be a thing?

I had to give up drinking. A "few" drinks always turned into 10. And then I'd get the nibbles and inhibition would get tossed out the windows and I would've consumed 2000 calories in one sitting. Just wasn't worth it for me.

I know it sounds low. If I Google pics of ladies at 12% I agree it's very low. However.... at 18% I don't look anything near a bikini competitor and I've had my body fat measured by several different professionals, so I'm not sure how much more accurate or how else to approach the measurement. (Skinfolds 7 site formula)…

I'm not sure where it says I want to lose 15lbs??? I started this account when I was 62kgs.. maybe it hasn't changed. I'm quote happy with my weight just want to recomp :)

Thanks guys!! I guess I'm just paranoid. It def fits within my calorie goal... But I feel like I have all these perfectly balanced macros of natural foods and then boom... hot choc haha... but I think I'm being paranoid and petty... its A lifestyle change after all. I live in South Africa, so it's suuuuper hard to find…

I'm not sure, I guess the sugar aspect of it??? As far as nutrition goes, I've always been told to avoid unnatural sugars due to the weird behaviour unnatural sugars have on insulin levels etc.... though also, a burnt tongue does suck.
-
Just a side note... I'm not overweight. 151cm. 47kgs. 20% body fat..... Trying to get shredded and lean!!
-
I agree with you! Thank you :)

As much as I'd like to hire a coach.... I see a personal trainer 3x per week. The food is really expensive. My gym membership costs a bomb. And I'm a student...... so for now I guess I'm going to have to kind of wing it :(

Hi guys! So, a little more info, I'm doing the usn 12 week body makeover challenge, and then depending how I look at the end of 12 weeks, there is a show 16 weeks away which I'm considering... The reason for chicken; I got a meal plan and that is basically the meal for day 1 to 10. Then it changes day 11 to 21. Then…

That is week 1 to 4 basically... but until week 8 macros remain the same-ish albeit the diet changing. I'm asking for advice as I'm new to this.... not really sarcastic comments.
-
I like this!!! I'm gonna follow these steps!
-
What do you mean could be my goal?
-
My body fat is pretty low... I think around 19% I'm by no means fat, I've just never been able to achieve the "abs like slabs" look.. I'm petite though, I see a personal trainer twice a week and do my own weight training 3 times a week and I run 5 times a week my diet is relatively clean with the occasional treat... but…
-
@litsy3 how's your training going??? Feeling on track for our marathon 24 april?
-
Thanks @litsy3 I'm also worried I push roo hard and get an injury as I haven't really focussed on hills..... wish There was a flat 32km before my marathon... but this is the only one..
-
This looks seriously cool... is this a watch you're using??? Which one?
-
Hi guys, Thank you all so much for the input! Just to clarify... haha... my long run is 28km. My weekly total is currently between 50 km and 60km. I know I seem anxious....... its because I am. It's not really because I feel under prepared, but because of my personality type, I want to feel over prepared. You guys are…

I'm already on that group... just find it a Lil dead :(
-
I do cross training, I take some spinning classes and gym my legs twice a week!!! If I don't gym legs they fall to pieces! I'm not too worried about speed training as this will be my first marathon, my goal is just to finish within 5 hours.. on a slow run I do between 6 and 7 min/km
-
I've been chewing on this question for some time now.... I'm training for a full marathon and currently run about 35 miles per week. I think I was over stressing about the whole thing from what I read.... I am a tiny tot.. I'm only 151cm and don't eat huge amounts. I started panicking that I was compromising my training,…
