Wow - amazing and inspirational. Funny you post a pic at the funfair. One of the most embarrassing things about my weight was when I went on rides with my young and son and making a fool of myself trying to squeeze myself into the rides (another reason to lose my weight).

Thanks to all of you guys for being brave enough to share your before and after pix. It is a huge inspiration to us new members. You all look fantastic - well done. Now where's my camera and wide-angle lens?

Thank you so much for taking the time to offer your support (and to write the above post)

Thank you for your wonderfully supportive posts. I really adds more resolve when I know there are people interested out there and who are going through the same type of thing. :)

I like this idea - if I need a 'free meal' or 'cheat meal' whatever you want to call it then this makes it more simple to budget for without the need for cheating. Thanks for sharing your idea. :)

My day 1 was only a week ago but like you I believe this to be my final attempt - and THE successful attempt. Not just a diet but a new way of living, I think it has to be that drastic for me. I'm planning on the fairly intense stage at the start to lose the bulk of my weight to a more comfortable level, then phase 2 will…

Thanks, it's taken me all these years to get what I believe to be the right motivation and now it's down to execution instead of simply 'wishing' I was slimmer.

Hi, well done :) I've been using MFP for a week now and lost 5lbs (I know it will will slow down after this week but I'm basking in the glory while I can). I'm looking for a steady 2lb a week loss. If you need a friend feel free to add me. :) I'll do my best to be motivational.
