I'm in Tyne and Wear and anyone is welcome to add me :)

Thanks guys :)

Brilliant Thanks. I used Psyllium husks a while back as well as a probiotic but this seems to be both. I'll check this out. P.S. The dog in your picture looks just like ours. :)

Thanks :)

Thanks. It's not been that long. It's just I'm afraid of pushing more stuff in one end when it's not coming... ...well you know. LOL Just trying to find which foods offer more 'bang four buck' so I don't bloat on stuff that aint gonna help.

Wow, thanks for that. I have some of those items to hand so I am off to the kitchen. :)

Blimey! I didn't say I saw the laxative solution on any thread here. I'm really not here for an argument but your posts do appear a little terse but of course I may be picking it up incorrectly - it's been a long day. If my question has any way offended you please forgive me, that was not my intention.

Thanks for the reply. I have searched and checked other threads out but was more aiming toward the route of finding a more natural alternative to laxatives for a speedy fix of an upset stomach.

I quite enjoy it AND if I really get my act together I can plan an entire week's (or more) meal plan ahead of time so I know what to order. I use it closely in conjunction with the Tesco grocery website and get it delivered. :)

Welcome aboard, you're welcome to add me :)

I started a new hobby three months ago - HOME BREWING! I am surrounded by the stuff and can't bring myself to drink it since starting my diet last week. I will try and fit a little in to my regime (the odd glass on a weekend only) but it's going to be a bit of a pain. There is an upside to this though - guess what all my…

Welcome aboard John. :)

Best of luck and keep on keeping on. :)

£14 a month. Fantastic gym, modern, clean, open 24 hours a day with personal trainers, loads of the latest cardio and weight machines, free weights, loads of free classes and a nice atmosphere too. I really hit lucky with this one. I'm aiming to use it 3 times per week.

Whenever I start a diet I always do my first weigh-in when I am ready to use the loo and then my next weigh in (the next week) just after I have been to the loo and removed as much 'weight' as possible. Well liquid and other stuff is heavy!!! This way my first week is usually a good loss. BTW I didn't do that this time.

Hi John, I'm in North East England but lived in the beautiful Scottish Borders for a few years. Welcome aboard.

What is a(n) NSV? There are so many abbreviations flying around I sometimes get lost. Is there a glossary anywhere?

I use tend to think of them as a snack really (if I have the spare calories) but if I was short on time I would use them as a breakfast if the feeling took me. They are pretty nice.

Sorry, I forgot to say, "Welcome aboard."

I have been a serious binge eater too but my need for self-respect is outweighing my need for food at the moment. I know there will be times I will weaken but I realise I have to keep those times to an absolute minimum and so far it is working. One thing I have done is recognise my patterns and triggers. I have changed my…

I've got a gallon of beetroot wine fermenting at the moment but probably not the best thing for us on a diet. ;)

I like to use Green tea as a guilt free snack. Any other benefits are a bonus. I think many of the health claims are perhaps exaggerated but it tastes good, helps stop a growling tummy and is pretty much calorie free so it's a part of my diet arsenal (as well as fruit teas too).

Top tip right there, doesn't have to be any more complex than that!

A 5k is one of my goals lol. Just got to be able to put my running shoes on without passing out first.

Oh now there is a good idea - never thought of that before. Tesco is my best friend at the moment - their website is great for checking my calories etc. We always shopped there anyway and their site is great. Hmmm combining Tesco rice to bulk up the take-away - neat idea.
