Thanks, dracarys!!! I needed a little boost. I’m on 900mg/day for fibromyalgia and brachial plexus compression in my shoulder. It has helped my shoulder pain SO much but I’m having trouble getting the scale to move. It’s such a vicious cycle: not on meds and in so much pain that you can’t function let alone exercise....or…

Thanks for all of the kind words!! I started this process in August of 2011. :) It's taken longer than I anticipated but, on the other hand, slow and steady wins the race!

LOL!! What the heck is right!! I have no clue how that happened! It's always been correct before!

I am getting very close to maintenance and I'm also HUNGRY a LOT. For instance, I just ate a solid lunch not too long ago (grilled chicken, sauteed mushrooms and steamed carrots) and I'm still ravenously hungry. I'll just sit here and keep chugging water! :drinker: ETA: I'm 5'4" and weigh 128 now

Haha thanks!! This totally made me smile. :) CONGRATS to you as well!!!! It's an awesome feeling!

So, you gained 8 lbs on your old diet.... and want to go back to it?

WOW! What a transformation!!! I literally said "Damn!" when I got to the pics. Congrats on your pregnancy!!

I just donated a box of clothes to Goodwill! I refuse to keep clothes around "just in case"!

Thank you so much!!!

Well... I wish I could tell you my stomach was as flat as it was when I was 20. But, I have since had one emergency abdominal surgery, and then many years later, a baby via C-section. The first surgery really messed up my stomach (cosmetically speaking) but the trade-off is that I'm alive, so I'll take it. ;) That being…

WOW! I'm blown away by all of your kind words! Where to even start.... Several people have asked my stats and how long it took -- I'm 32 and 5'4". SW was 180.4 and my original GW was always 130.4 (back to what I weighed when I got married 7 years ago). Now that I have reached my original GW, I'm planning to lose 5-10 more…

I'd definitely suggest you avail yourself of the water/Gatorade at the water stations; neither of those are likely to wreak havoc on your stomach. If you haven't used gels during your training runs, now is not the time to give those a test run. I've come to love gels; you should consider giving them a try once you resume…

Hi Alyssa! Hang in there! Everyone wants to see you succeed and that's why you're getting the advice you've been getting. Some have called it tough love. I, too, cannot emphasize how helpful the kitchen scale has been *for me*. To each their own. Check out this video and you'll see how the calories really add up when you…

Love this!! I totally laughed out loud. I've gotten the "You don't have anymore weight to lose!" comments (when, in fact, I do) as well as "Don't let losing all of this weight be the reason you don't have another baby!" The last one always irks me -- as if I'm that vain to choose my hard-earned figure over a child?? The…

My SW was 180 and I'm currently at 132. All along, my GW was 130 but now that I'm almost there, my plan is to get to 125 and then re-evaluate and then I may go for 120.

Haha! Yes! "That's a hard rule. That's a— that's a rough rule"

I started because A) I didn't recognize myself and B) I didn't feel comfortable in my own skin!! There are many more reasons but those are the big ones. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1205249-5-lbs-to-go-5-4-and-45-lbs-lost

Woohoo!! You look GREAT!!!
-
Just saw the other thread on this :)

Agreed! I'm 5'4" and currently weigh 134 -- I eat at least 1600 calories a day and am still losing weight. I can't agree more that you need to not rush the process.

It's been a journey and has admittedly taken me much longer than I anticipated -- I started August 2011 and have been working my way to my goal since then. Along the way, I've kept this graph (because the MFP weight report only goes back one year AND because I love analyzing the data) to track my weight starting in August…

This totally made me smile! I love that we can motivate and inspire each other on MFP!

You can totally do a 5k!!! Knock it outta the park! :)
