No not really bc thats how I got here in the first place.

Definitely not giving up if I didnt see a loss or if I saw a "gain". I used to get SO upset bc I would weigh daily and fluctuate of course. I used to then completely give up for that day and eat whatever i wanted. I finally stopped and I gave it about 4 weeks and I figured if I still wasnt seeing a change then I would…

Except I've never been overweight I just dont like the way I look which is why I want to lose some weight lol

I eat at maintenance level on Saturdays, I also bank calories throughout the week for the weekend. I've still been losing consistently at .5 lb a week for the last 3 months so I figure I'm doing something right!
-
Ok Cool thanks guys

I mean I see it as, I am not going to cut alcohol out of my life forever so I might as well fit it into my daily calorie goal now and get a hold of it. I know what you mean about not being able to control your eating but maybe only have a couple drinks. The only way I start to "not care" is when I'm pretty tipsy.

It had the opposite effect on me, I was on zoloft first and gained about 15 lbs which was the biggest I've ever been. I was about 145 at 5"3 which isnt obviously obese but it doesnt look good. So I switched to wellbutrin and immediately lost. I guess it works diff for diff people.

See mine is a texture problem. I find most veggies especially lettuce I have a texture issue with.

Once I started weighing everything out and entering it and being completely honest with myself I was dropping .5 lbs a week and have been for past 14 weeks. Just sayin
-
I just work out when I get home from work. I let myself have an hour break to snack and just relax and then I begin my workout!
-
I've found that doing something that occupies my mind really helps. I either read or color because I'm focusing on something else other then food. If I watch tv I usually end up wanting to eat bc thats typically where I eat my snacks.
-
The more you do that the more youre stretching out your stretching out your stomach making more room for food.
-
I do one maintenance day a week on Saturdays but I'm eating 1550 a day
-
please go read my thread "to those who are frustrated..."
-
Thanks everyone, I really just want to offer words of encouragement bc I know just how frustrating this can all be sometimes.
-
Great! I am so happy I could help!
-
Thank you! Yes it is so easy to just give up and go back to your old ways, but why? In the past I gave up so easily but not this time. I was determined and now I have something to show for it!
-
I just do a maintenance day so I "kind" of cheat but I typically eat what I want every day just dont go too overboard, as long as it fits in my calorie goal :)
-
Yea I was up about 3ish lbs this morning from yesterday and my TOM is right around the corner fun fun!
-
I used to really freak out when I weighed and was up so now this is helping!
-
Weighing everyday has kept me accountable and I see the daily fluctuations and to see even if I may go up on the scale a lb or two my overall trend is I am losing at the rate I should be :)
-
Just keep on going! I track my weight everyday to see the changes in the scale.
-
I used to do those cheat days where I didn't log all day and I think since I've stopped doing that and am actually logging at maintenance (i tend to do this on saturdays only) I noticed I am still losing at a consistent rate rather then slower then I'd like.

I'm 5"3 I started in january at 139/138. I'm now at 134/133 and my goal is to be 130 by June. My ultimate goal weight is 125-120 depending how I look and feel. I dont have a goal date because I know if I make one I will be disappointed if I dont get to it.
-
yeah no problem!

What they said ^

I struggle with eating veggies too :/ i hardly ever eat them its bad!!
-
Soo many. I just roll my eyes and move on.
-
It happens!I had mexican thursday night, drank saturday and yesterday ate a burger and fries plus icecream it tasted delicious and the scale may be up over a lb but I know its just sodium and water retention! Plus its almost my TOM so that doesnt help! Just move on and keep going

This is usually where I fall off the bandwagon of MFP but this summer I will not! I usually go on vacation having lost using MFP and then end up gaining MAYBE 1-2 lbs but I see the scale go up a bunch and then from not logging for a week I just somehow stop logging altogether for a couple months and gain!! Its the worst.…
