  • Lucky you. Unfortunately, mine is still broken. It seems like only the non-exercise calories are being transferred from fitbit to mfp, which makes it a lot lower than usual (since fitbit auto-categorizes activity as exercise). I relied on fitbit for the calorie information. I play tennis 2+ hours a day on top of ~30…
  • Has anyone fixed this? I'm having a really hard time figuring out how much to eat and switching between the fitbit and mfp apps continuously is a pain.
  • I usually take BCAAs during my heavy workouts and immediately afterwards if I feel really weak (on the walk home from the gym before a protein smoothie). I train right before dinner, so it's helpful for me to get through the workout, even if it's mental. I usually order them at the same time as my whey, which often makes…
  • During college: Energy Drinks After graduation: Soy mocha 6 months later: Soy latte with a vanilla sugar cube 1 year later: Soy latte with cinnamon Now: Black coffee with vanilla sugar cube
  • What's Team in Training?
  • I can only imagine how difficult a race at Griffith park is. Just walking to the observator, I was beat.
  • Awesome, thanks for the suggestions. My goal is to run the Nike Women's Half Marathon next year, which is usually in October in San Fransisco. So that gives me a year to train. I'm hoping to find other races before then of course so I can get used to running in races and stay motivated.
  • I live in southern California, but I don't mind traveling s bit to get to Races if they are awesome. The Disney Races are near me. Has anyone done one of those?
  • Thanks everyone for the great suggestions. I don't know why I never thought of using the ice bucket. I always thought it was stupid that hotels had them in every room. The oatmeal is an awesome idea too. I'll have to try that one next time I travel. I wonder if it would be strange to bring hard boiled eggs on a plane.
  • I totally know what you mean. My protein goal is practically impossible to hit without blowing over on calories overall.
  • Thanks for all the replies. I don't know why it never occurred to me to go to a grocery store and make my own food. That's a great idea. Granted the hotel I was in last week didn't have a fridge so I couldn't really store yogurt and things like that. Probably better researching of hotels will fix that in the future.
  • I travel for work about once a month. Usually it's not for a week, but still traveling. That's a good idea with the room service although they make the food very different than I do at home. For instance, that trip, I ordered eggs and toast. The eggs were covered in butter. They were actually hard to eat. I guess I should…
  • Being ripped is a goal of mine. I used to lift 5 days a week following a program my trainer designed. But I've stopped recently and need to get going again. We should be friends.
  • I would also like to join. Perhaps this will get me moving again even if I'm busy. I need the reminder that my health and well being comes first. Everything else is secondary.
