  • Nope! When that time comes most likely you won't know and won't necessarily be prepared regarding how you look and feel. I got engaged a few weeks ago. It was on our 5 year anniversary and we made plans to go to dinner. I wanted to look nice for our day, but of course going into it I had nothing to wear and I felt my hair…
  • Awesome...thank you!
  • When you charge your Fitbit before leaving for work bc you received an email that that the battery is low - thinking "I have to make sure its got enough juice for the day to log my steps", only to leave the house without it therefore seeing no calories earned on MFP. So heartbreaking lol!
  • You can add me also, and this goes for anyone else here! Down 31lbs have another 90 to go. Support is very important.
  • Love this thread! Here are mine.... - How you feel when reflecting back on your journey and feeling a little sad when thinking about how you waited so long to do this for the sake of your health and self-esteem. Although I'm very happy with my weight loss so far and am excited about the future I wish I would have had the…
  • Amazing and congrats!! Can't wait to until I'm close to 80lbs lost.
  • 1. Try different foods! There are lots of healthy foods amd healthy variations of recipies. I previously didn't like avocadoes now I love them and use them to replace the dressing on my salads. I'm a breakfast food lover. There was a was a blog post today on MFP about making healthy pankes. This was right up my alley.…
  • I have an electronic standing desk which is nice. Before the change in lifestyle i would sit most of the day. Now i stand for most of the day. Also, we get catered lunch everyday - and I'm not talking deli sandwiches lol. We will have items from restaurants such as bbq, tacos, burgers, pastas, etc. It is hard not to fill…
  • Agreed! I never tried any of the fad diets or ever really tried to lose weight at all because of the misconception that i would have to starve myself, take diet supplements, kill myself with exercise, etc. Losing weight is waaaaay easier than i thought it would be. The discipline has to be there though to monitor…
  • Thanks so much!!!
  • I lost 1lb in this week's weigh in and was a little disappointed since before I was losing a solid 2lbs/week, and before that I had lost a few lbs/week. Glad you posted this as I get to see what that 1lb looks like. I'm thankful it's gone.
  • Cold turkey! I started my weight loss journey about 45 days ago. My mindset switched and went to the grocery store day one and bought healthy food instead of getting fast-food which I would normally do. Lost 23 lbs so far and no turning back now!
  • I have a desk at work that electronically raises and lowers with the push of a button. I used to sit a lot and not utilize the lift function but today, for example, I stood for 6 hours and avoided sitting so much. It felt great and I plan to keep it up. Standing burn calories so it is a win win!
  • That is really sad. May i ask why you think your family isn't being supportive? Glad you reached out here. I realistically have 100 lbs to lose though my initial goal is 80lbs. Although i have a wonderful supprt system online and offline, I'm still doing this for myself no matter what. Started my journey sept 7th 2015 and…

  • Awesome....thanks everyone!!
  • I just bought a charge this past weekend. I'm in love! It is great how I wake up each day with calories burned just from sleeping. I log my food on MFP and I synced it to fitbit. Also every step gets counted and I dont have to worry about having my phone on me all the time to track my steps on an app.
