October sleever here checking in. I went from 280 day of surgery to 266 the day I got home from the hospital. And I haven't lost a pound since. I know everyone's experience is a little different. I am 12 days out now and am a little frustrated. It is probably mostly my doing. I know I haven't walked as much as I should. I…

I'm still on liquids as well this week. This weekend I will start puree. (this step seems to be skipped by some programs). I haven't been filling in my food diary since surgery because, well, I forgot. I'm going to re-start today. What is this "sharing" thing and how do I get in on it?

Hi Stephanie! I was also sleeved on 10/14! How are you doing? Surgically, I feel great. I'm struggling with getting enough protein. I'm not hungry, but desire for some flavor is starting to peek through.

Yep, I'm now two days out and I just got home. Still in some pain, but good to get up and around. Taking liquid Norco for the pain. It's awesome. Sipping water and jello. Small sips! @NicoleL874 I hope everything went well for you!!!!

Before the 2 week pre-op I wasn't really following a strict diet. I improved my eating quite a bit and usually had a protein shake for breakfast. I did a 2-week prove-I-could-do-it diet before the dietitian would recommend me and I lost 7 pounds. With the last 11 days I'm down at least another 10. I had not tried to do…

Whoo hoo @penkon! I have a 2 week pre-op diet and I'm on day 9. I've dropped about 8 lbs. I say "about" because I have a cheap scale. One morning - just to prove that point - I got on it and apparently was losing 1/2 a pound every 10 minutes. Uh, yeah, no! I've thought of buying a nicer scale, but for me it really isn't…

How did everything go? Where did you have your surgery? I live in Tulsa, but my insurance is making me come down to Norman. The annoying part is that all of my appointments have been there - shrink, PT, dietician, etc. At least I could have my mammogram here! LOL I hope all is well and that the pounds are dropping off!

Totally, everything there is fried! I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich once. . . once. I took it off the bun as I was off bread that week. Nasty. And I had a bad McD salad experience. :(

That is why I am waiting to look for something to wear to my niece's wedding - looking either in my closet or the store. I got the invitation this week and although there is dinner & dancing, the wedding is at 3:00. That changes what I might wear, not so much evening-wear.

LOL - Sonic Ice! You know Sonic Drive-In? At least here they all use pebble ice, the little pellets that are easy to chew. Sonic was founded/HQ in Oklahoma so here we call that Sonic Ice. The cafeteria at my office uses it. And I found out not too long ago that the kitchen/breakroom in the floor above mine also has it in…

Well, there you go. Three small bites of chicken and I puked it all up. I think I will have another Premier shake. Maybe just a few ounces at a time. I also have some "Sonic ice" which is somewhat soothing. So that is a question about regions of the continent (I've seen some Canadians here!) - do you know what "Sonic ice"…

In pre-op diet and I'm not eating enough. It's 12:30 now and all I have had is a meal replacement shake and sunflower seeds. (Ok, the seeds are probably not on the diet, but I eat them to keep me awake at my boring job). But now I feel nauseous, which can be a symptom of under eating. I know I need to go to the cafeteria…

@dsaidydaffeh - I'm scheduled for the 14th. I saw someone else in the group is on the 15th. Looking forward to hearing about everyone's experiences as we go through this together.

I'm starting to feel a little stressed less than two weeks out now. Or most importantly - two weekends. I have a lot to do before surgery day. I'm an accountant and this is "quarter-end", then the Director asked to have a project done Oct 30. Oops, I will be out the last two weeks of the month. But I explained and he gave…

@NicoleL874 - Sorry, I already forgot my log on so it took me a couple of days to get back on here. My diet is 10 days of meal replacement shakes, 2 per day with the 2nd one split over lunch and dinner, lunch and dinner is 2-4 ounces of lean protein (can you say Chik-fil-a grilled nuggets! LOL) and 1/2 cup steamed or 1 cup…

I am scheduled for October 14th! And I got my Vivosmart in the mail yesterday. Surgery was delayed for several reasons beyond my control. I'm going to tell me story, just to vent. :) My mother fell ill (out of town) the week I had my final dietary appointment. After a three week hospital/funeral delay, I was able to…
