Thanks so much, everyone. @lmomw2016, you're right, my confidence level is way up! @lisapierce5277 , I have followed my MFP calorie goals carefully, using a food scale. Increased my activity with water aerobics, yoga, and lots and lots of walking. My Fitbit is a great help. Once I started having success and felt the…

I think the grilled market salad (with low-fat berry viniagrette, please) and the southwestern salad (with chili lime viniagrette) are awesome. When I have the calories, the fried chicken sandwich and waffle fries are great. To each his own.

Try increasing ypur protein consumption and don't avoid essential fats. This should help with your satiety and feeling less hungry.

Anyone else having sync issues again today? MFP has not updated since around 6am, it's now past noon. One item of note is that my Fitbit itself received some sort of software update about 11am. It is syncing successfully to the Fitbit website, but not MFP.

Compared to others here, I am lazy. But it works for me. Walk every day 3-5 miles. Water aerobics 1x a week, yoga 1x a week. I generally have 250-400 extra calories per day, depending on that day's activity.

I had mine removed years ago. I also eat anything I wish. For some months afterward, if I had a particularly fatty meal, a quick trip to the bathroom resulted. But over time, even that stopped.

I don't care for most of the artificial sweeteners, and strongly dislike stevia (ick), some due to aftertaste and some just taste nasty to me (stevia again). But my husband suggested trying a sweetener based on cyclamates, and it's been a life saver during this weight loss journey. It's delicious. But, you can't buy it in…

Any resources available at work for heating food? Microwave? Toaster oven?

Hard boiled egg, one piece of rye toast and greek yogurt. Always satisfies me until lunch. I bring it to work and toast the bread there.

Hello, I'm 59. I have been on MFP for several months now, and have lost 66 lbs since July. I still have a long way to go. Considering taking a short break and eating at maintenance, but haven't completely decided. Feel free to send me a friend request if you like.

My breakfast is usually under 300 calories. Greek yogurt, hard boiled egg and slice of rye toast most mornings. Easily satisfies me until lunch.

Trendweight is not being updated either.

I thought I would follow up. Threw out the Silk and bought Blue Diamond again. No problems. Apparently I am not bothered by carrageenan. Blue Diamond also has locust bean gum, but less of it, and so far, I do fine with it. Glad I did not have to give up almond milk altogether.

This week in the shower I ran the washcloth across my body and felt something really hard. I realized for the first time in forever that my sternum was sticking out. Yesterday a girl at work told me my eyes looked so much bigger and brighter since I lost weight.

When you come home starving for dinner, I suggest a packet of string cheese or a mini-babybel. The protein will help the big hunger pains until you get to dinner. It should also help you to have a smaller portion of dinner (with more protein, which is good for satiation). Try to train yourself to eat your dinner until you…

My recommendation is that you eat at maintenance until you heal. Your body needs fuel for repair. Just take a break, eat at maintenance, and get back on the horse when you are better.

Isn't that a great feeling?

I try to leave 250, but that is just a mind game I play. I am still heavy enough to have a goal of 2 lbs a week, but my calorie goal at that setting looks scary low to me (omg, I will starve!). So I set my goal at 1.5 lbs, and try to leave 250. I have found I actually do this most of the time pretty easily. But on that…

Tons of iced tea, water with True Lemon/Lime, almond milk (with cereal), and the occasional Coke Zero.

While researching the issue, I read about this too. What is interesting, however, is that the brand I currently have is Silk, and it does not contain this ingredient. My first purchase was the Blue Diamond brand, which does have this ingredient, and I don't recall having trouble while using that brand. I see that…

Woo...nothing to see here.

Get past the annoyance of logging everything individually. By your own statement, you only eat a relatively small list of foods. Once you have been logging correctly for a bit, it will get easier because the app will keep a list of your recent and frequent foods. Then it's only a couple of clicks and you're done. It will…

What seems impossible, may I ask?

I put mine in workout mode when class starts, and turn it off when it ends.

Absolutely stick with it. I started hatha yoga at 286 lbs. Needless to say I could not do many of the poses well, but I modified where I could and just kept trying and breathing. My flexibility has increased greatly. When I started and we did a forward fold, I could barely touch my shins. Now I can fold and wrap my fingers…

Thank you for your response. I am definitely not a weight lifter. I am a 59 year old female who 6 months ago was morbidly obese and completely sedentary. I have since lost 59 lbs. I did use aqua fit, as well as yoga and lots of walking as my intro into exercise and fitness. I don't feel I have peaked yet in aqua fit, my…

I sing this too, but I do it when I have just stepped off the scale with a new loss. This also involves some significant butt-wiggling. :D

Wow. No offense, but you really need an education in southern BBQ.

Your post is refreshing after all the "can I lose 50 lbs in 5 weeks?" posts that have shown up lately. Great start.

My go-to's at the end of the day with extra calories are either Raisin Bran with almond milk, cottage cheese and fruit, or an Ole Wellness low carb wrap spread with PB2, drizzled with honey and wrapped around a banana. If for some reason my protein is low for the day, it's a pile of boiled shrimp with cocktail sauce.
