It's just the latest new way to create a calorie deficit. It does work for some people. I tried it and while it does work for me, I couldn't stick to it.

I've been on and off of MFP several times. I wasn't able to keep to it. Then I went to see my doctor last week for the first time in over 3 years and he informed me that I had a silent heart attack sometime in December of last year. That did it. Now I'm back and I'm staying until this weight is off.

Hunger, unfortunately, is part of the game when it comes to trying to eat less or lose weight. I had a lot of trouble managing it too. I trained my mind to think that feeling those hunger pains meant that my body was burning fat. After a little while I didn't dread the hunger anymore, and soon didn't even notice it.

Well done!

You're kidding, right? Ramen noodles have more sodium in them than the Atlantic. Your body will retain water after taking in that much sodium.

OP, it didn't take you 10 days to gain the weight, and it will take more than 10 days to lose it. You need to be patient. This is a journey, not a sprint.

I have this issue on my paper routes when people have their dogs out in the yard and I have to go to the porch to leave the newspaper. What I usually do is when the dog approaches me I shout "Sit!" or "Stay!" in an EXTREMELY commanding tone. If the dog continues toward me, I leave the paper on the lawn or drive, I don't go…

I also work night shift but it's throwing a paper route, so it's exercise while I'm working. What kind of work do you do at night?

If I get asked "How did you lose so much weight?" I am just going to reply "The Mafia was involved."

Hi Katiejo! I know how hard it is. I think this is my 6th or 7th time on MFP. I always gave up on weight loss because I didn't see results right away. I know what you mean, food is also my problem. I have a binge issue, once I start to eat I can't seem to stop. I'm trying to take things one day at a time with MFP's help.…

7 days a week. I throw a paper route.

I use my Crock Pot. I work two jobs so I don't have time to cook every day. Every week I choose a recipe for the Crock Pot, make it, and then put it in tupperware to eat on the rest of the week.

How acquaintances and co-workers who used to pretty much ignore you suddenly want to be your best friend and come up and talk to you all the time. I'm a serious introvert with social anxiety issues and I think I was happier when they were ignoring me.
