I don't know, but reading this article just depressed me. Weight loss already seems like an uphill battle, and reading this makes it seem just hopeless. :(

I used diet pills years ago and they did work. Unfortunately, they also strained my heart, and as a result I now have heart problems. Please don't go down the diet pill road. Losing weight is not worth the health risk.

Problem is, I can't live on Slim Fast the rest of my life, and will gain back the weight loss as soon as I go back to normal food. Not to mention that using Slim Fast or any other shake I spend 95% of my day in the bathroom.

This is a VERY good point. That is one of my biggest problems, rewarding/celebrating with food. I even have such asinine thoughts as "I have a day off tomorrow, I'll go get Wendy's for dinner to celebrate!" Really need to find something else!

My co-workers tell me I do this too. I simply tell them if they prefer I bang on their head, be happy to.

Completely agree! There seems to be sodium in everything. I'm starting to think that the only way to avoid it is to eat mud pies.

That is a good suggestion but I don't have the time to go to classes. I work from 8 Am to 4 PM five days a week and work a paper route every night from 1 AM to 6:30 AM. I sleep the rest of the time. I can only get my house clean if I take a vacation day from my main job. I was hoping to find something I could try at home.…

It is the hardest thing I have ever done. I have quit pain medications cold turkey, quit alcohol cold turkey, quit smoking with the help of Nicorette gum, but I'm really struggling with the food addiction. You're not alone.
