There used to be a simply filling option. I am not sure if they still have it. As long as you ate what was on the approved list it was okay and pretty much what is promoted in this LCHF diet plan, whole foods, non processed, non refined foods is in the approved list. You eat as much as you want until satisfied within…

Thank you @slimzandra for the info. I have been wondering if I was taking the right one. Looks like citrate is good for me, but maybe husband should switch over to the glycinate.

I use pork rinds instead of breadcrumbs for Chicken/Pork Parmesan. My husband likes it with the pork rinds better. He says it keeps the meat extra moist. I make my "breading" with crumbled pork rinds, Parmesan cheese, and minced garlic. Sooo good. Wonder if I can use when making meatballs. That will be my next experiment.

I'm sad :( Garlic is my favorite spice. Trying to be VLC to ZC for a while. Will have to give it up for the time being and just stick to salt and pepper.

Making the alfredo sauce with cream cheese is easy. I have tried without cream cheese and was not consistency I wanted. The best part of using cream cheese is that if you have leftovers, it will harden back up and you can use it as a savory fat bomb. Try this recipe…

If you like baking and cooking you might want to look into replacing some of the cookies, and muffins with low carb versions that uses coconut flour or almond flour. My friend had switched to making baked goods for kids using these types of ingredients rather than regular flour. They love it! Always a good thing when you…

I have seen different versions of BPC out on the internet. I make mine with butter and MCT oil (refined coconut oil), but I have also made it wit just the butter. I have seen it out on the internet with just the butter. I love it. The butter makes it creamy and frothy almost like a latte. Use a good quality butter like…

This is something I have been concerned about for years. I have noticed that I seem to pulling out less hair. Could be wishful thinking. Going to have to keep a better eye on that.

I had bunch of ground beef leftover from starting the 30 day ground beef challenge before the gallbladder flare up. Need to finish it but easing it up with egg whites. It is also easier to keep it simple because of work. I do plan to eat a wide variety of meats. Just need to be careful and see what may cause another…

I am all in for AAA. Already have been doing it a bit while trying to do the 30 days of ground beef. Had to give up due to gallbladder issues. Have switched to egg whites with coconut oil and ground beef as my main meals. So, I don't think I can give up MCT/Coconut oil (need a way to keep up my fat), but everything else is…

Me too. They get lost in the luscious noodles anyway.

I agree with Sunny_Bunny_. What salad dressing did you use on your salad? I always have mine with either full fat Cesar or Blue Cheese dressing. If you are starving when you get home you might what to have certain snacks (appetizers) ready, cheese, salami, etcc... to hold you until you make the dinner you had planned.

I have the Paderno as well. It is easy and fast once you figure out how to use it. Use Zucchini that is not too thick in diameter and it is relatively straight or cut it up into sections that will make it straight .

I do appreciate these health improvement posts. Since I do not have any major health problems I do not recognize what has improved due to LCHF. Many times when I read the post by someone saying such and such improved, it like a light bulb goes of in my head, "hey, that has improved for me as well!" The ones that I can…

We get most of our plants from the local arboretum. They had their annual Veggieplooza last Friday. Picked out over 30 tomato plants, different heirloom tomatoes, different types of cherry tomatoes (my favorite so far is the blueberry), this year I picked up a lot of varieties of paste tomatoes, they hold better for tomato…

That is me also. I have a black thumb. Luckily my husband has a green thumb. He grows them, I cook them!

Lots of different kinds of tomatoes, zucchini, green beans, perilla leaves, herbs and lots of peppers, sweet, jalapenos, Serranos, Carolina reaper, bhuta Jolokia. Will be making a lot of tomato jam and hot pepper Jam. Can't eat any of them unless I can figure out a sugar-free version.

Thanks for the advice. I'll keep in mind when I go for it. Right now need to figure out insurance issues before scheduling.

I am having to get off this ground beef challenge. I had a gallbladder flare up. Thinking it was drinking the animal fat. I am discouraged by this since my weight was finally moving downward.

Here is an article of a woman who was zero carb during her pregnancy. I found her blog to be an interesting read. http://myzerocarblife.jamesdhogan.com/wp/2015/02/eat-zero-carb-pregnant/

Was at a wedding this past weekend and had too much to drink as well. I wasn't hungover but I had a real powerful headache. After taking so many Advils and Tylenol. I finally took some Excedrin and a little nap and my headache was gone. Feel better soon!

Fit_Goat and glossbones. You have inspired me to take on this challenge. I probably won't be able do it 100% all ground beef, all the time, but will be just eating that except for those occasions when I can't (family obligations, a wedding soon, but still plan to be zero carb, or nearly). I have been fluctuating the same…

I think it is happening to me. Sometime's can't stop at just a couple of squares. Trying to stop eating chocolate for a while to see if takes me out of my stall.

I read somewhere the SPF of coconut oil is like a 4. You can use coconut oil as part of your basic skin care can help with the sun, but should never take place of sunscreen.

You get used to coffee without sweeteners after a few days. But it does make a difference the type of coffee. If it is bad coffee it just tastes bad and there is very little you can do to disguise it. So far the ones that I like are Starbucks, McDonald's, and the Kirkland brand from Costco.

I agree. Someone told me not to eat breakfast to help lose weight. Fasting for 12-16 hours is a good thing. I was able to only last 3 days. I was starving. It is more doable with LCHF. If I am hungry in the morning, I just have BPC and that will last me until lunch time.
