I am having this same issue. This feature used to work wonderfully and then it suddenly stopped. I did all the troubleshooting… got a new Fitbit (sense) and still the same issue. It only logs my steps after I immediately download the app and then stops unless I do it all over again. It has to be a tech issue between Fitbit…

Thanks for the info and feedback everyone. Sometimes i get way too in my own head so i needed the perspective. I’m going to weigh myself in the morning and readjust my goals. I’ll check back in with you guys. Thanks again!

I’ve lost 6 pounds since i last weighed myself last Friday. Most of that weight fell off in the last week and a half ( For the first two weeks i had my settings at 1 pound a week and was set at not active. It actually gave me the same allotment of 1280 that i have now. I changed my settings to 2 pounds and active and got…

Thank you for the reply! I’m 5’6 and currently around 156. I have my goals staggered with my first goal being 150. My ultimate goal is 135. I’ve been back to weighing/logging everything for about 3 weeks. Last week due to a few factors including lack of hunger i was averaging about 1000-1100 calories a day (kinda gave me a…

Thank you for this post. I need to bookmark it. I am in the dieting phase and felt like i needed to be in that phase until i reach my goal but i am SO FREAKING HUNGRY that food is taking up most of my thoughts. The refeed phase at maintenance seems like it will stave off that hangry feeling. Now i just need to peruse these…

My original goal was 135. With MFP I got down to 143. I felt a little too thin at that weight so for how I’d like my body to look my number is 150

Thank you guys!!! I'm 38 and will be 39 in January.

Thank you everyone for the amazing compliments. <3 <3 <3 Still on my journey!!! I'll just say the CICO concept is largely responsible for my progress
-
Thank you Daisy!!!! If you use MFP as a guide you can get any body you want (within reason of course lol)

C section mommy here. Plus I had twins. Weight loss and kickboxing improved my stomach a lot but i still would consider it my problem area. Mostly due to waiting for my skin to snap back after my weight loss.

Thank you Quiksylver!!! <3 <3 <3

Lol. I wrote a long post and I'm not seeing the whole thing. I think inserting a smiley on my iPhone made the rest of my post disappear. Phooey. lol.

I thought it was my metabolism too. Then I thought it was meal timing. Then I thought it was about eating whole foods versus processed. And etc. etc. Then I realized I was moving a lot less than 15-20 years ago and I wasn't monitoring my caloric intake at all. (Didn't have to) Once I focused on adjusting my calorie deficit…

I've had my charge HR since Christmas and it seemed a little wonky at first but I read that it needs time to get used to you. I eat back most of my exercise calories and sometimes more (sometimes less too) and I just hit my goal weight today. Your burn is a lot higher than mine but my current weight is 148 so that is…

I weigh myself sporadically just to make sure my weight is trending down. I know weight fluctuates but I don't like seeing the spikes so I wait until I see other signs like clothes getting looser and my body feeling tighter to weigh myself. I just weighed myself this morning and found out I hit goal! So yeah... That method…

And it is much appreciated  Just makes reading quicker. If it's not a hassle for the poster I don't see an issue. And if it's written in stones or kgs... That's not a big deal for me either.

Fitbit enthusiast here. I'm a fan of trackers because they make you aware of your activity level. Without my Fitbit I would be averaging between 2000-5000 steps a day. Now I make sure to at LEAST do 10,000. The challenges are also a LOT of fun and keep you engaged.

To keep with the rhythm of working out switch to floor Pilates/barre while your ankle heals. I suggest trying Jessica Smith's floor barre. It even has a cardio component that includes no lower body. It's a nice challenging 30 minutes.

I think she's looking for an excuse for failure. And looking for people to co-sign her failure. She's looking for validation that... It's. Just. Too. Hard. I'm a pretty sympathetic person but people who are looking for excuses instead of solutions both fascinate and annoy me. My final advice to the OP... instead of…

The best advice I got on this site that spared me this torment was understanding that weight loss isn't linear. If you look at your trend... You've lost 1.5 pounds a week and that's awesome! Follow the trend... Not the fluctuations on the scale. Good luck!

Hi Ftsolk. Do you really want to lose weight or do you just like talking about it? I ask because it seems that you're making this even harder than it has to be. And I can relate. I had to adjust because I don't want to obsess and diet. I want to control my weight in a sustainable manner. So you've been weighing food for a…

Hi! My alarm is set for 530 am and from there the only thing between me and my workout is a walk to my living room. I used to struggle wit this and If time is an issue for you then doing home workouts can be most efficient. The time it would take getting prepared and to the gym would cut seriously into my workout time (I…

For me... It's exercise. I sacrifice sleep to wake up at 530 am to work out. I would rather go to bed early than not work out

Absolutely the case Wheelhouse! Thank you for your critical thinking

Hi! Cook and take leftovers in a Tupperware.

Great anecdotes!! Some really funny stories! My apologies to anyone offended by the word woo. I look at is as just... A word. For me it describes weight loss theories proclaimed as the holy grail. I used to believe them. I used to fail. I thought my metabolism was "broken". Recognizing "woo" pulled me out of a…

My approach is similar. Especially when they argue it's working for them. I give more pushback when I hear them spreading falsehoods and giving woo as advice to someone else looking to lose weight.

Egg and crackers diet? That's a new one. I wonder what were the promised results of that one. Lol

That is quite hilarious. She didn't REALLY believe that did she?
