  • Yes I believe it is being counted twice. I have heard you should choose one device to track your exercise, either Fitbit or MFP
  • I can't really answer to what specific exercises will be comfortable for you, but I can say that when I got mine peirced it was VERY sore for several weeks. Be careful not to get it caught or twisted on anything. I would avoid anything where you put pressure on your stomach, like laying on your tummy or using machines that…
  • I am a recovering addict, and the only thing that helped alleviate the core issues that lead me to act out in my addiction was working the 12 steps. I recommend trying a 12 step group like overeaters anonymous. You can find meetings online and the people there will offer real support and accountability, and offer hope with…
  • I am an addict in long term recovery and I recently celebrated 3 years clean. I finally became willing to deal with the unmanageability food was creating in my life about 2 months ago. I feel amazing! Working out and eating healthy is just one more piece of my recovery now. :)
  • I was definitely feeling this, plus the added barrier of not burning as many calories as doing cardio. What worked for me was setting a firm goal to add weight lifting Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for 8 weeks. I fully committed and am now three weeks in, already seeing some body changes :)

  • I do pretty well avoiding bad foods but I am working on eating back 50% of the calories burned. Until yesterday I wasn't eating any back at all and started getting dizzy so I think that's part of my problem.
  • Thank you for your feedback! I'm sticking it out. I won't let a number on a scale throw me off track :)
  • Preach!! I already put it the scale away.
  • Thanks for your feedback. That gives me hope!
  • I do plan to start weighing my food, however, I doubt that it is possible I am under-logging calories by 500-1100 calories per day, everyday. So logging inaccurately can't be the only issue. I am going to take a break from weighing myself for a while and use measurements and how my clothes fit to gauge results. Anyone give…
  • Unfortunately I am not on Facebook to participate in that. I do appreciate your feedback. I need to start taking measurements because I agree that fat loss does not equal weight loss. Thank you for your input!
  • Thank you for your suggestions! I plan to start weight training tomorrow morning.
  • Thank you ladies for your support. That article you posted was very helpful.
