Good for you. I think they are scared of losing the person, when in fact its the fat that's being lost. The person changes, but for the positive. But the SO feels left out therefore wanting to sabotage the goal.

Yes! Same here. But almost to the point where they tempt you so you fail as well. I'm doing this for me as well. Well, and for my daughter. But with the family history I have, I'm not doing myself any favors by NOT doing anything.

You could be right about the hunger pains. I do know that as a teenager and young adult, I had tried to ignore the hunger feeling, because I was overweight and thought that if I don't eat, I would be thinner. I would love to do that, but at work it is difficult. I'm in the medical field and if its not break time, we can't eat. That's where I struggle with the small snacks throughout the day.

I am alone with my kid until her dad gets home. Its up to me to do dinner :) I can put something to bake and take a walk then perhaps. I eat healthy, but my weight has fluxuated 5lbs here and there. So I figured that adding the exercise should jump start something in me.
