I taught myself to swim recently, have been going twice per week since November. It's definetely helped in terms of endurance, lung capacity etc. Just be warned that MFP seems to vastly overestimate calorie burns. I enter 50 mins or so of "general swimming, breaststroke" and it estimates a burn of over 500 calories. Bear…

That is, without question of a lie, the best darn card I've ever received, thank you!

I laboured long and hard last night, and again this morning  Problem solved, broccoli did the trick!
-
Massive amounts of broccoli - check!

The caramel wafer bar is just a treat, old-school English chocolate bar which I used to have in my lunchbox as a kid. My daily treat!

It varies, but I rarely go over. My food diary is open, feel free to look. I quite regularly drink PhD protein shakes after workouts... They usually *cough* get things moving... But not so much this week!
-
I do! I love it  I drink so much coffee already it's unreal, but I will definitely work on upping the water intake
-
Thanks, I'll add a large portion of broccoli to my dinner more regularly

The very definition of "drastic" is severe. Why would you want to do anything severe to your body? You're about to get asked if you're severely overweight, because unless you're at a very high starting point, 50lbs in less than 6 months is very unattainable, unlikely, and probably unhealthy. Then you will be told a healthy…

In the past I have lost weight purely from regular exercise where I hardly changed my diet at all, and those times I noticed a decrease in size of my arms and legs but not so much my tummy and butt. This time around I'm fully focused on CICO as well as exercise 4 or 5 times per week and my waist has slimmed down…

Oh Tiffany :( I'm so sorry you that happened. Exercise really will make you feel better but take it at your own pace and don't let his actions define you! Eat if you want to eat, do what makes YOU feel good :)

It's ok, I'm always happy to admit when I'm wrong

Wait *kitten*, I've got that the wrong way round. Ignore me, you're right. It's things that can't be counted where "less" should be used. This is embarrassing for me because I'm doing a masters degree in professional writing
-
"Less" is a perfectly correct term to use when preceding a thing that can be counted. So "less calories" is grammatically correct. Sorry.
-
Same happens with me but meh... It's not like the app can measure calorie burn anyway. So I just log the calorie burn manually myself, and it's tracked using my Microsoft band 2... Which also doesn't post exercise or step calories to MFP properly... Apparently they are working on this though...

I'm in! Although currently doing a December challenge also, it's really helping with accountability! Are we weighing weekly? As Easter is Sunday the 27th March, might I suggest Sunday weigh ins? Height: 5'3 SW: 151 CW: 145 GW: 125 Any weight after 15lbs loss would be amazing though :)

When I went into labour with my son I went straight to constant pain, no breaks between contractions, he was born less than 3 hours later :) Also, that thing you have to do to get pregnant... It's been a looooong time... Hence why I was so sure that I wasn't pregnant. Update: I got my period today! Harrah! And this week…

I'm glad I'm not alone! I had two depo shots since March, decided not to have the October shot as I'd gained 10-15lbs! Still waiting for the hormones to clear my system as I've not had a period since (although I bled almost constantly for the last two months while on it- hence wanting it to stop). I'm down about 5lbs now…
-
Thanks guys, it's good to know I'm not alone and your ideas are great. I've woken up still sore and stiff but I'm going to drink a tonne of water throughout the day and go easy at the gym after work... Hopefully it all helps and will get better with time
-
I use a 6kg kettlebell, do about 5 sets of 10 goblet squats, in between various swings and around the body passes to catch my breath. Very short, 10 mins, try to do a couple of that workout throughout the day. In the gym it's mostly the exercise bike, rowing machine, stepping machine thing... And lunges with free weights,…

I was suspicious when a girl I was friends with had loads of friends, registered weight losses nearly every day, super happy posts, always successful.... Then it came... The "secret" to her success. Click this link to my website to buy this product. Ugh. Unfriended immediately. I probably spend too much time on my phone on…
