Happy Monday friends!! Finally trying this out on my laptop and already liking it more. I have the habit tracker open in the next tab so that's where I'll go when I wrap this up. Found a small window of time to call my own today before I start this excellently scheduled week of many appointments now that I'm feeling well…

Hi team! Just checking in here that I’m good to go for May, or whatever I need to do to get in there. I’ll put my intro in here even though I think I still have to register: I’m Caitlin, I’m 31, and I’m a therapist in Pennsylvania. I work with families of kids who are at risk for out of home placement (think suicidal kids,…

@TwistedSassette inside out is literally my favorite movie.. both personally and at work lol - I’m so grateful for it and I get to share it with kiddos learning about strong emotions.

Username: caitlingfry Weigh in week: Week 5 Weigh in day: Saturday PW: 159.4 CW: 157.1 You guys. I can’t believe the last week. At one point I was up to like 163. high and I was so devastated and feeling defeated.. eating well, hydrating, taking vitamins... Wednesday was my first day off the steroids and between Wednesday…

Hi guys! Thanks for all the kindness and well wishes. @trooworld thanks boo! My taste and smell are thankfully back! The appetite though.. So let me start by offering my apologies that I’m on your team because this week is bound to be a doozy too. (TMI incoming) I have one more day of steroids and I’m still so blocked.…

Happy Wednesday! Just read through everybody’s updates and things are looking pretty ok out there guys. Loving the gardening, family time, and worship that’s happening! Food exploration and outside romping! Also seeing some of the hurdles and barriers, but all those fun time things wouldn’t be so fun time if everything was…

@vegan4lyfe2012: what an awesome post! Those baked chickpea tacos sound really good. Also so happy for you to hear from your son, it must have been a good time for all of you guys. Thank him (and you both) for all of the commitments for our collective safety. And the nails look so fabulous. @TeresaW1020: It’s not fun or…

Just realized I wrote up there that I tolerated broccoli but my mush brain typed that wrong and it was carrots and CELERY that were good and crunchy. I had some broccoli cheddar soup for lunch and that was pretty good. Haha

@Katmary71 I’m having a good chuckle thinking about all your cats on leash. Glad they are enjoying the outside safely! Also good work on getting through to the next stage in your search for pain management - sending hopeful thoughts for healing that you can get some relief soon. @TeresaW1020 LOL seriously I need told that.…

@trooworld sorry to hear about your pup! Its so hard to stay present when our fur (or real) babies need help. I’m glad you were able to catch yourself and slow down!! Great skills 😊 @AustinRuadhain yes we have all hens! My dads family actually farmed eggs in the 70s, 80s and 90s (think tens of thousands of hens). Today my…

@trooworld the only real plans I made was with my mom, since she’s 4/11 and I’m 4/12, we’re going to have dinner with my dad on her birthday somewhere around here (provided I get the negative results soon!). And walking. We like to walk and talk. As far as the foods go - the portions have been my biggest feat in this…

@kellyisonamission hey Kelly, welcome!! I love the lockdown weight loss, I think it has been a tremendous time to look inward and do the self work! Idk about Louisiana but Pennsylvania has decent parks available for nature walks and hikes that have been my respite for lockdown. Gym seems to be working for you tho so get it…

@TwistedSassette what a day you had! It seemed to snowball and you turned it around with grace! Way to go getting home and keeping your peace. Hopefully today goes better at work 💞

@Katmary71 good idea! I have it on the back burner that at the first sight of unexplainable mood swing I am going to get on the pill or something for short term. I am currently not doing anything to see if I get a regular cycle. He told me to call if I don’t have a regular cycle by August, so I’m going to wait until at…

@AustinRuadhain not exactly fully sourdough croissants, but we found a really picky recipe that said to try a little bit of sourdough starter mixed with store bought yeast so we thought we’d try for the adventure. No time limit so we’re experimenting in the kitchen! If we fail with the starter then we will just go the less…

Post Easter dinner/weekend check in: (& doctor/hormone/period stuff) I am so glad my check in was Saturday because there was definitely some indulgent (stress) eating after that. Woof. I was out of town for a little and did an awesome boulder/creek walk. Got a bit more horizontal exercise in than I have in 2021, so that…

@AustinRuadhain it went well! She is happy to be retired although still helping with the transition a tiny bit. The plans for retirement are brewing! Day one was a success. Thanks for asking :) Checking in for myself for the day, it was mildly chaotic and I was out from 9a-8p but it’s my weekend! Although I didn’t eat as…

@trooworld so glad he did well, hopeful it was successful! Pet people are the best people, and it sounds like he’s lucky to have landed with you! And hiking - yessss! I took a hike this past weekend that really kicked my butt physically, mentally, and emotionally (HAHA) so that is partially what motivated me to get back…

Happy Monday folks! Thank you all so much for the warm welcomes!! It’s been awesome reading about everybody else and seeing how positive we can be! Super excited to get the month rolling and see what other cool tricks this group has. I saw the “April Showers” thread early this morning and decided I wanted to join in so…

Hi group! I’m new to really all of this but very excited and grateful to be here. My name is Caitlin and I’m 2 weeks shy of 31, 5’9”, 161.4lbs. I live in Pennsylvania and have been loving the coming of spring! I first got MFP in 2015 or 2016 and used it to track calories to try to lose weight. According to the app, in 2016…
