  • After reading this entire thread, I now want smoked salmon. Thanks a lot guys  OP - I would either stop discussing weight with your doc entirely, or find a new one that supports your healthy goals.
  • Day 5. Made it up to 80lb squats. Barely. Tweaked something in my shoulder on set 3 of my 40lb OHP and had to call my work out off :'( Not sure what I did, but it hurts to look left. Or to yawn. Or to pretty much do anything. Not a real bad pain, more like when you wake up after sleeping funny and have a crik in your neck…
  • Exercise! I have anxiety myself and I find regular exercise helps a ton. My husband also struggles with anxiety and other issues and I force him to exercise as well when he is struggling and it improves his mood a lot. He always thanks me afterwards. Go for a walk somewhere that makes you happy. Enjoy nature, look at some…
  • Mine like peas, carrots, spinach, pretty much any veggie I eat - they eat. They really like snap peas though.
  • I weigh myself daily (or at least several times a week) just so I can catch the low times in my weight as it fluctuates so darn much from water weight. I don't think that would work for people who get upset seeing themselves go up and down constantly though.
  • I get more annoyed with the ads for diapers and things involving small children. I don't have or want children, I don't need to see diaper ads every time I open this app.
  • I did day 2 this morning after being away from the gym for a month or so due to life being dumb. Had to deload, but I still feel good. Down to 65lb on my squat, 40 on my BP, 55 on my row, 30 OHP and 90 DL. (I think I could have gone to 45 on BP this morning, but I was tight on time and didn't want to waste it getting up to…
  • Saw a kid do this in the movie Gran Tourino, and now it repeats in my head every time I go somewhere and I am checking to make sure I have all my things with me. Sunglasses, keys, wallet, and phone (spectacles, testicles, wallet, and watch - figured out the keys have to be the testicles lol). Nothing religious for me, just…
  • Yeah I walk on the treadmill at home in my socks. Can't go completely barefoot as the bumps on the belt hurt my feet after a while, but it is definitely more comfortable to walk and run without shoes on.
  • I was in a similar position when I started losing weight. I lost my job, was totally broke, and super stressed out and sad. What got me started on losing weight was that it was one thing I could control 100%, and that I could control RIGHT NOW, not in a month or down the road. So you might be single, sad, and living with…
  • Anger. When I get angry, I want to eat all the foods. I generally manage to funnel my anger into a work out, or cleaning my house, or pretty much anything active, but every so often I give in and eat my rage away. Lol. I just get back on track the next day. No big deal.
  • I feel like that still and I am only 2lbs from goal. Feel like I should be really happy and proud, but I just look in the mirror and think that's not what I was expecting to look like at goal weight. New goal I guess?
  • Every day is a new day to start over after a bad one. It took time to put the weight on, it takes time to get it off. A couple bad days here and there won't make a difference in the long run. You can do this :)
  • I did something similar this week. Got hit with a sweets craving while shopping and went overboard. Thankfully it's all gone now and I can hopefully get back on track too. My NSV for this week is doing a 6 hour hike on Thursday and wanting to go again the next day!
  • Your butt ran off to wherever mine went :( I have added Strong Curves into my weight routine and am hoping to see some results. Took pictures of my very sad rear to compare to in a month or 2. Definitely take pics before you start so you can watch for changes :)
  • I had one leg shorter at one point due to a back injury that my chiro was able to sort out for me. You could definitely look into seeing a doc or chiro to see if it's a possibility.
  • I used to flip off my uterus and do my normal work out while internally telling it that nothing it does will stop me from doing what I want to do. Then I switched birth controls to one that stopped my period and the cramps.
  • If you have lost more inches from everywhere else, it can make your stomach appear larger, even if you have lost weight there. I lost weight so much faster everywhere else that it made my stomach look bigger.
  • The biggest loser is so unhealthy :( you're doing it so much better by going slow and making sustainable changes. Much healthier.
  • 5'5" as well but at 130lbs I need to walk closer to 15,000 a day :( and 4 days a week are spent at a desk which leaves me 5 hours at the end of the day to cram in eating and walking and anything else I might need to do around the house, as well as work I do from home (also at a desk). It's frustrating some days.
  • I'm technically shooting for the lower end of my BMI to target fat loss, but I don't plan to stay there necessarily. Just want to get rid of my belly and then I'll be happy to put some weight back on in the form of muscle. Or who knows, I might be happy with how I look at that weight. I care less about my weight and more…
  • Pastries :( Not that I didn't know they were high calorie, it's just impossible to find one now that fits into my day without having to skip a meal in exchange for it. And half of them are even higher than they first appear, as "1 serving" is only half the tiny item and it's 400-600 calories. Oh, and my old favourite at…
  • When overweight people try to sell me this amazing ~whatever~ to help me lose weight and be skinny. If it worked as well as you're trying to tell me, you would be skinny.
  • I eat a low calorie dinner all the time. I have a habit of eating most of my calories before dinner so dinner ends up being something small. Nothing wrong with that if you're happy with it that way. Doesn't really matter where/when you get your calories in.
  • You could always tie him to the bed at night ;) Can't get up for a snack if you literally can't get up. On a more serious note... I think you two need to have a talk and figure out why he does what he does, what he wants to accomplish, and maybe seek outside help for any emotional issues.
  • Everyone has a "type" they're attracted to. Doesn't mean that's the only people they will ever be attracted to. If he supports you in your goals, I wouldn't worry about what may or may not ever happen.
  • I was pretty healthy last year and still ended up with a pretty much nonstop string of colds from October to January. It happens to all of us. Just take a break and relax and let yourself heal before you go back to it.
  • I like gloves as I find the pinching annoying without them. I don't need callouses to feel badass.
  • The barre class I've taken taught me to hate the word pulse.. "little pulses now" I hate pulses. Lol. You should enjoy it. Do not try to pick heavier weights if your class uses them. There is a good reason for choosing 2-4 lbs. You won't be putting them down for a while.
