I used to, until MFP and Fitbit stopped syncing months ago. My TDEE is much lower than MFP guesses it at, so it was helpful to enable the negative adjustments.

I was out in the woods doing a compass exercise with search and rescue this weekend, and we had to get up to the top of a bluff to find our flag point. I hit a rocky point and could only find hand holds at around chest height, and had to haul my body weight plus pack weight up until I could get a knee onto one of those…

I put 8lbs back on over the past year (2018 was the worst), and it went straight to my stomach. 2 inches around my waist, and 1.5 around my belly pooch area. I've lost 40lbs total (32 now) and those 8lbs put back on half the inches I lost in total. *grumbles* 2019 is already going a million times better though, so I will…

I second an earlier comment. Focus on being strong and feeling strong. Don't focus on how much you weigh. Strength is beautiful. Focus on training your body to be strong and healthy. Eat meals with the proper nutrition to fuel your body and your work outs and you will have the body you want. Think about all the things your…

I don't enjoy my runs so much. I have to push myself to even do them most days. And I have been running on and off for over a year now (had to take a couple breaks for surgery and now have some bladder issues that can make it a pain to try and run so I skip the bad days). What I do love is how I feel after the run. So I…

I measured my weight loss in dogs! I have a 10lb pup, 15lb, and 30lb. "Honey I've lost a Sampson!" Or "I've lost 2 Yumi's". Good fun.

New petty reason! My cousin is getting married next year and I want to look better in his wedding pictures than I did in mine. I hate almost all of my wedding pictures so it's kind of like a do over and I'm determined to look amazing. Already shopping for a dress and they haven't even set a date beyond "summer probably".

I run for food, and the feeling I get after I finish running. Don't care for the actual running part, but the rewards are definitely worth it.

I also make the deal that I only have to do 5 mins. Mostly for running. As long as I run 5 minutes I can quit and walk the rest. Last night I ended up running 30 minutes instead of my planned 20 (with the deal that I only had to do 5, I wasn't feeling a workout at all). Felt so good after 20 mins I just kept going. Which…

I love this! You're awesome and you will be sexy either way!

Pretty much the same way you do it with a gallbladder - eat fewer calories than you burn :) If you're one of the unlucky ones that need to drastically change their diet after gallbladder removal you might need to switch up your meals to healthier things, but that's about it. Try to set small goals for yourself that you can…

Good job! Keep going!

I have been on depo for years. I've lost about 40lbs so far with no problems. The weight gain was from eating too much, nothing to do with the shot other than I know it can increase your appetite. Are you sure you have been tracking and weighing everything accurately?

I want to lose weight for me. But also to shove it in my husband's mothers face after having to listen to her interrupt our wedding ceremony discussing whether or not I was pregnant, or just fat. I was the only one who apparently heard her other than the people she was talking to, but still. I detest that cow and want to…

In this situation I find the good old faithful "you look really nice/pretty/handsome/etc today" works nicely. It gets your point across (a general compliment) without pointing out anything specific. And someone who is sick won't generally be offended to be told they look pretty or really nice today even if sick. We all…

Before I was ready to resize, I started making it a habit to take my rings off at night, and before any time my hands would be wet (shower, dishes, swimming). Just to keep from losing them.

I have a stumpy legged corgi heeler mix, and man can she go. And when she doesn't go, she eats the furniture (RIP big round cuddle chair). Very good motivation to get her out for good long walks almost every day. On Saturdays and Sundays we do a 3+ hour hike. She has definitely helped motivate me to leave the house on days…

There's nothing wrong with having cellulite. It's a natural thing that most women (and some men) have, and it was never a problem until the beauty industry decided to tell us it was a problem.

Yeah this amount of food would last maybe a week between me and my husband. And our food budget is $100 a week for 2 of us. And even that is cutting things really tight with the cost of food going up and up. Hooray for Canada and super high gas prices :/

"It's still smaller than your head" :)

5'4.5, 125-128lbs and my thighs still rub together when I walk. It doesn't however hurt at least. Just continues to destroy my pants.

So... you're burning more calories than you eat. CICO. Same as everyone else here. You are just focusing on the calories out more than on the calories in. Different ways for different people but it still comes down to the same thing in the end. Good job!

Honestly, you look good. I'm in the same boat with the no waist and wide love handles thing, but you look far better than I currently do. And you have more hip. Rock that bathing suit because you look damn good.

Had mine removed 3 weeks ago, and the only thing I was told was to go easy on foods high in fat until I saw how my body tolerated them without a gallbladder. I eat a lot of salad with no problems whatsoever. So far just seems like the foods I had trouble with before surgery, are the foods I still have trouble with. I had…

Cut them off until they realize you're serious. It's hard, but better for you not to have to listen to that junk if it's hurting your mental well being.

Lol came here just to say basically this same thing. Birth control does not force you to eat more food. It can just increase your appetite sometimes. I've been on every type there is and none of them shoved food in my mouth for me.

Pick up stuff while you eat cake! Do both! Have both! Everybody wins!

I like to say I eat less food. Then they talk about how they couldn't possibly give up XYZ, like pizza. And I'll comment "oh yeah, I couldn't either. Just had pizza last night but I only had 3 pieces and a couple breadsticks." And then walk away.

Maybe you could ask the prostitute to dye her hair? Get a shirt that says "not a sex worker please leave me alone?" Being totally sarcastic here, but sometimes you just have to laugh at things to keep from crying about them. Men are just so damn terrible sometimes. I had an actual pimp try to "give me a ride" one day when…

Technically yes. I had a big deficit for the 2 days prior so I'm pretty positive I didn't go over calories if I look at my week as a whole instead of just 1 day. No actual clue how many calories I ate, as someone else cooked and I wasn't about to ask her for the ingredients in everything. I had 2500 cals to cover the meal…
