  • I haven't asked her in so many words but it wouldn't surprise me greatly lol. I've done a great deal of protection and reflection work on myself which has seemed to help a little. My other coworkers all do have an issue with her, and find her just as abrasive, but I don't believe it has escalated quite as far with them as…
  • I don't generally supply a lot of personal information, the conversation about my ex-girlfriend was with another coworker that she was evesdropping on, and the bit about my brother isn't personal, he's well known in our community, does public speaking and other events, many she's been to. Generally though, I supply the…
  • She really is. One of those people who talks a big game like she knows everything, and as soon as you contradict her she gets mad about it. We had a discussion a few weeks ago regarding drug and alcohol addiction, and for frame of reference by brother was a hard core addict for years, he's been clean for 12 years now so I…
  • I don't usually post about my work life on social media, hence not having any real details other than the effect of what my position is, which isn't exact, just an equivalent. I am going to try and endure it, in the last few weeks I have been far more open about the fact I do have anxiety and depression, which weirdly…
  • She has brought up the fact that her and her family are wanting to move out of state this coming year. I've applied for a couple of new jobs but so far I haven't had any call backs, as most of them I'd be considered over qualified for :(. It's been so long about the ex-girlfriend comment that I don't think it's a thing I…
  • We get a lot of halibut but it's not my favorite fish to fish for myself, and we don't have boat set up for them so we generally stick with trout and all the salmons for sake of ease. I prefer the small sized halibut, they are fun to catch when their enormous but they don't have a great texture being that big, the smaller…
  • Just general recipes, I am not one to cook fish a lot but I have some to use, and it's such a lean source of protein I thought I'd give it a shot. The tacos sound like a great idea!
  • @MixMareedy, I get those steamers a lot, they're pretty good, and not super expensive. See if the water thing might help. It could just be that your not quite adjusted to the broccoli yet, when I first started I had to be a bit gentle with myself on the veg because I wasn't used to eating that much and it made my stomach…
  • I agree with what everyone has said, there is a huge difference between him actively participating and just being supportive. My husband is overweight too, not by a lot, maybe 40 or so pounds, and so we've talked a lot about losing weight, and I've been a chronic starter in weight loss since we've been together. He hasn't…
  • I have a tendency to feel this way if I've had a lot of sodium for sure. I try and keep my water intake at about 100-150 ounces a day, but the days I slack at it I can feel it the next day, I feel bloated, and since I weigh myself everyday to watch my trends, I can say I average an extra 1-2 pounds in just water weight…
  • I've been doing IF for the past couple of weeks and I find it a lot easier to keep within my calorie range while doing it. Often times, to eat a meal that was satisfying when I was eating three regular meals a day meant I'd be over by 200-500 calories a day usually which wasn't ideal obviously, and really the only reason…
  • Pansexual poly female here! I'm working my way to losing 100+ pounds, it's nice to see so many other LGBTQ peeps!
  • I generally just guestimate, or find a similar meal in the Food section of MFP and deal with it. Or, if your at a restaurant that has a calorie count listed on the menu, use a Quick Add and don't specify what it is if you don't have time. A lot of being successful in this is really just taking the time to log in things. It…
  • I've found I'm in the same boat a lot of the time OP. I keep a spreadsheet on excel that keeps track of my daily weight, my calories in, and my fitbit calories out, and then I also track my PMS/menstrual cycle. I can tell really quickly from day to day if I'm not drinking enough water, or when I get closer to my period.…

  • Add me too! I'm always looking for people to talk to and encourage!

  • August 6th! I'm trying to kick some *kitten* and get my weight down before then. Feel free to add me too :)
  • Feel free to add me, Caitlin, I totally understand how you feel and having someone to talk to about it makes all the difference!
  • Hey Jaz! I just wanted you to know your not alone, and that I understand your struggle. It sucked, I had lost nearly 60lbs from my original start weight of 240. I gained it all back and more. So I'll certainly be lurking and commenting on here, we all need someone/s to help keep us accountable!
