My user name is a lifestyle I'm already where I wanted to be and better really. The funny thing is, lower carb eating and almost no sugar did it. Working is related to a fun new lifestyle of working out. Lean - it just happens all by itself on low carb.

I used to be T2 many pounds ago Low carb is a way to have less circulating glucose and is perfect IMO Eating pasta and taking meds is silly! Just don't eat the pasta! I wish you well and this forum is great. I Ha e been off metformin for a year and a half. It was all about low carb and exercise. That is a magical pair!

The story seems like inflammatory rubbish Sex workers and slavery? Seriously I don't see the rise of women in our society as recognized more for all the contribute as eroding the self esteem of any confident person, regardless of gender I happen to enjoy the company of empowered women. It has been great IMO!!!

Love the NUNN Energy!

I love quest bars They are like crack!! I eat 4 on a long bike ride day. They are great meal replacements for me.

I eat typically 50-100 or so carbs daily. I will eat 250 on hard training days but keep my estimated calorie intake at 2/3 of what I burn I like triathlons as my sport of choice. On a 4 hour training day it may mean 250 grams of carbs over a long ride or ride/run. All that gets burnt off and there is still fat burned. The…

For me the e chess calories and sugar left me lethargic and comatose. I would not say low carb makes my brain better. Getting rid of excess sugar helped me feel better all over! As far as net carbs available to your body for glucose storage or circulating glucose... You have to factor in activity levels. That burns…

Sounds yum!

I don't find any sort of fad or ultra restrictive intake system helps me. Starting a long term plan I can stick with works. It has worked for years.

Veggie based fiber slowly introduced into my diet was a great help It filled me up and I had lean meats and some dietary fats. Over time I can accurately predict my weight loss based on how much of the lower calorie high fiber foods I eat. It is the key to feeling full and also general slow predictable weight loss

Carbs are bad for me. It would be like cycling poison and somehow thinking it is good to cycle carbs. The lower carb body management system works. It isn't a diet. It has been a 3 year body transformation and completely new lifestyle Cycling the old failed way of living in with the new successful one is crazy to me. Just…

Coconut oil sometimes and sometimes Apple pie spice. Heavy cream is good I don't do the bullet proof coffee thing. I just like coffee. I have drank it but I like to get calories from eating instead of drinks. But coffee is yum!

This is an interesting thread. I have been eating natural foods for a while, by natural I mean plants and actual cuts of meat, not processed stuff. It is naturally low carb. By skipping mushy beans it is easy to be low carb. Meat has lots of protein and some fat so it all works out. It is easier to keep the calories down…

If you cook it you can control those additives But no, no carbs in roast beast

I do 70 or so carbs daily I just avoid those sugar carbs. It has worked for two years! Ezekiel bread is my friend when I have a bread craving.

I kept in low carb but kept the calorie count down too

It really is simple Just do some endurance type exercise on very few calories. Your body will source fat. It just happens. My ride this morning was decent for burning calories and keeping the mitochondria sourcing fat at a higher percentage Probably gonna have a blackened steak salad for dinner and lay about for a bit. I…

Long duration type of exercise, particularly endurance work that spans 2 hours plus at a 75% HRM will do all sorts of good things. It burns out my glycogen stores and a ton of calories, so ketosis is the mathematical end result unless I eat a 1000 calories of sugar. I like exercise as my primary method of staying low net…

I know where carbs come from in my diet. If I eat veggies and meats, no sausage type processed things, it is pretty hard to eat too much. It does help me to hit a few low intake days per week. I will log a day or two per week. It does help with focus.

Meat and veggies Simple things I know. No Breading and no creamy sauces But butter for sure!

I find net carbs is a term that is a slippery slope into too many carbs for me. That is my experience with doing it net versus just straight up carbs. Those sugar alcohols are the ones that mess me up. Veggie fiber carbs are less impacting. Eating 50g of veggie carbs is work. Sugar alcohols are easy to pile up.

Ketosis gets you burning off all your glycogen stores. Some argue that it also burns fat with excess protein once glycogen is gone. In my experience, you can still eat too many calories of fat and protein and stall your weight loss. Way too many calories in can't be overcome by ketosis. If you are at 20-40 carbs a day and…

I agree with this in my personal life experience Not that it would be considered empirical evidence, but carbs create a desire for carbs. So unless I am in the middle of strenuous exercise, sugar any big punch of carbs is just counterproductive. It is easier to manage the craving monster if I don't poke it with the sugar…
