  • You can do it! Slow and steady. Speed will come later.
  • @SuzieQ136 I’m so glad to hear you got through the 20 minutes! I knew you would. 😊 I’m still jogging but now that it’s nice I’ve loved to outdoors. Harder than treadmill for me so I’ve been doing intervals. Nothing longer than 5 minutes right now but I’ll get there.
  • @SuzieQ136, you can do it! I know you can. Don’t let it intimidate you. Slow and steady. You’ve got this!
  • @SuzieQ136 how are you feeling?
  • @briscogun awesome accomplishment! Way to go running a full 5k! That’s about where my pace is too. 36-38 minutes. I ran 30 minutes today and managed 2.5 miles. Next time I’ll push to run a whole 5k. I’ve never considered myself a runner either. Maybe because I don’t have the same results on pavement than I do on the…
  • @briscogun, congratulations on completing the program! I attempted a trail run yesterday with my dog. Keyword, attempted. Too many variables; terrain, wind, sharing the path with others, my dog needing to stop several times, and it just being much harder to run outdoors. I managed to jog 24 of 44 minutes but definitely not…
  • I finished the program today. (On the treadmill). We’ve had hard rains for the last few days. I went at a nice steady pace and had no issues. I think I’ll stick to 30 minute segments for another week and see if I can increase my speed a little. Then possibly try the 10k app.
  • @BeccaHawes49 Awesome! Keep us posted. 👏🏻 🏃🏽‍♀️
  • @SuzieQ136 you will do great tomorrow! Can’t wait to hear how it went. @briscogun awesome job completing W8D1! I just did W8D2 tonight. Not gonna lie, the last 5 minutes was tough. But I pushed through and I feel great. Much easier to do on treadmill though.
  • @SuzieQ136 awesome job completing W1D2! I’m glad it was easier for you than day 1. As far as sneakers go, I don’t have advice right now. But when everything opens back up I’d recommend going to a running store and getting properly fitted.
  • 5.5 mile hike. 1706’ elevation gain.
  • @briscogun: Great job! Never hurts to repeat weeks. We’ve all done it. Today I completed W8D1 but I took it easy at a 4.8mph the whole 28 minutes. Felt good. I didn’t want to push myself harder than they because I’m hiking tomorrow. Between 5 and 6 miles.
  • Completed W7D3 today. A little faster than the previous workout. Felt great! One more week to go and then I think I’ll try the bridge to 10k. Has anyone done that yet?
  • I’m working on this program again. Trying to increase speed. But my runs have been few and far between. Last run was Sunday, 4/5. Completed W7D2. But it was on the treadmill. And I’m not at all fast. 4.8mph, all 25 minutes. The shorter intervals I was getting up over 6mph. I’m gonna try to get the next run in over the next…
  • I just turned 41 a couple weeks ago. Married with two young children and I work full time. I’m down 51 pounds and would like to lose another 10-25. Haven’t decided yet. But I’ve been stuck for awhile and would love support. I log in daily (900+ day streak) and would love to offer support for others.
  • You can do it!! Think of how good you feel when eating healthier and exercising. I sent you a friend request. 😊
  • I started IF lifestyle July 2019. I love it! I mainly do 16:8 or 18:6 but have done a few 21:3, 20:4. I’d like to work up to OMAD. I log in everyday and have an open diary. Feel free to add me.
  • Add me. My diary is open. I’m 5’6” SW: 225 CW: 173 GW: 150-160 (I think)
  • I’ve been a vegetarian for 2.5 years now. Check out Minimalist Baker website for great recipes. I don’t think I ever made something I didn’t like from there. Cookie and Kate, Cooking Classy. Search vegetarian recipes on Pinterest as well. Typical weekday lunches are veggie wraps with hummus that we make at home. So good.…
  • I too like my coffee creamer. I can only drink black coffee if it’s iced but it’s too cold for they right now. I switch to green tea in the morning and if I really want that coffee I have it when my eating window opens.

  • I started IF last July and have lost 22 pounds so far. I mainly do 16:8. Longest fast was 21 hours. I have not missed a fast yet. I use a fasting app to keep track. It has helped me stick to it. Weekends are hard for me because I’m home with two young kids that always want snacks. 😄 I do love this lifestyle. Weekdays I…

  • It’s a great program! I’m currently on week 5. Run 3 scheduled for tonight after work. I’ve completed the program in the past. Then kinda took off a year. Didn’t run many races last year. So I decided to start again and work on speed. So far it’s going great. But tonight is the 20 minute run which has me a little nervous.…
  • I’ve been Vegetarian for a little over 2 years. Back in August 2017 my husband and I watched some documentaries on Netflix and Amazon and it only took 5 minutes of one for me to jump on board. We went Whole Foods/plant based. And started exercising regularly. He lost 60 pounds, I lost almost 50 pounds. By last December I…
  • Thank you so much for sharing! I just started IF Monday night. 16:8 and have been doing 18:6 the rest of the week. I eat lunch at 12:00 and finish dinner just before 6:00. Before IF I went whole foods / plant based almost 2 years ago. I was doing great and lost 49 pounds (couldn't get to that 50 pound mark). But then I was…
  • I just started last night. Glad I found this post. 16:8 to start. I break my fast at 11:45AM. I’m a full time working mom of 2 kids as well. My test will be mornings while making them breakfast. 😊
  • Tempeh is pretty good too if prepared the right way. Google recipes. There are many options. We like it in a rainbow thai salad. Check out minimalistbaker.com. She has awesome recipes!
  • I hope you're feeling better! Good luck to you! I'm on the 2nd round of C25K but it has been sporadic for me. I just did Week 7 Day 3 last night and felt great. Hope to complete program next week and run in two more 5k events before my surgery on 12/11. Then I'll wind up starting over AGAIN, when I'm cleared for exercise…
  • How did it go?!
  • I too have a desk job, though not as demanding as yours. I get 2-15 minute breaks and an hour for lunch. So just at work I walk 30 to 45 minutes a day and sometimes I add a run in at home. I also drink a lot of water and that helps me get up and walk away from my desk throughout the day as well. The work will always be…
  • My go to breakfast is a smoothie. Plant based protein powder, coconut milk, small frozen banana and a tablespoon of peanut butter. About 30g of protein and this keeps me satisfied until lunch at 12pm.
