Hi there. Sending a friend request. Also looking to get some support. Will be starting strength training soon.

For some people, it makes them feel smug or better about themselves. Tell her to shove it where the sun don't shine. Focus on you and on making sustainable changes that will help you reach your goals.

Ditto what everyone else said. Do not be in any hurry to run again. There are other ways to get in a workout. Weights/Strength training are a good way to burn calories and firm up. Aquatic exercise / swimming is also excellent.

Same here. 1200 calories. I'm over 40, and I know that once I hit my goal weight, I won't be able to eat more than 1500 calories without gaining. Hopefully, by adding some weight training I can increase that amount.

See if there are forms of exercise that won't exacerbate your health problems. Swimming? It takes a lot of pressure off of joints and your back.

Me too. Go at it, quit. I guess I would just get frustrated because, at over 40 years old now, it's nowhere near as easy as it used to be to lose weight. HOWEVER, I'm back. Willing to make the changes I need to no matter how long it takes or how much tweaking I have to do to get it right. I will, however, be more willing…
