This might seem crazy but have you ever tried a frozen chocolate bar? I like a dark bounty, but I've heard many work... It's surprising how well it satisfies and because it lasts so long you're more likely to eat the calories of that one sweet! When I'm having cravings I just chuck a multipack into the freezer!

15 sounds like a warm up

Thanks! I've done a fitness blender before

Okay OP your tdee may be close to 2500 calories a day! I really suggest that you work toward making your daily goal around 1500 calories to lose 2lb a week. This might seem like a lot, but its what's right for your body. I realise that coping with that much physical food might be too much for you, so I suggest adding in…

I think OP is acknowledging the most sensitive and clear piece of advice. Mfp does have a baseline of 1000 - if you eat below it and confirm there is a health warning, if you eat above it it allows you to confirm and complete your day's diary. If OP is eating 500 some days 1000 may seem more approachable than 1200 min.…

1200 dieter here! Anyone feel free to add as it's day 8 today and it's a little lonely

I have the exact same problem! I'm also the sort of person who drinks milk or has a snack before bed usually. In the end I've had to shuffle my calorie control and ignored the "big breakfast rule". At 1200 I eat just 120 calories for breakfast (porridge) so that I can increase my meal size throughout the day and have huge…

My mistake! Forgot to consider her age! I'm such a bonehead hahaha! It's just so easy to see stats similar to your own and make dumb assumptions! I do still think she needs to increase her calorie budget - slow loss is far better than gaining 10lbs remember!
-
Apologies if it wasn't clear. I doubt it... 1600 isn't above mine when I'm sedentary. As I say I'm her height so it would be a huge surprise to me if with the exercise she's doing she's somehow burning no calories. I'm sure to you TDEE below 1600 seemed possible, but I was just using the knowledge I already had :/

Haha I've lost 4 with the same thing! It'll quite possibly come back, but I think it's a great up-side that with illness comes a tiny appetite so some of it might stay off after all!
-
But I'm suggesting "have a bigger calorie budget" not "eat more"??? If 1400 calories was more than she's 'literally' eating then she couldn't have gained weight... 1400 is just more than she's aiming and failing to eat right now...

She's already implied that she's not really sticking to 1200.... She said she's too hungry and binges. I'm trying to advise if she had a little more food she might be able to resist those binges.

I'm 5'1, 121lbs and eat 1200-1400 calories a day! Try 1400-1600 and see if you can lose! Weigh everything... The only time I will skip weighing is occasionally with a stick of celery, but I tend to over compensate by putting 2 stalks instead of 1! Being hungry comes with losing weight I'm afraid...

Feel free to add me! Lost before with mfp and have come back to lose a little more after successfully maintaining

I honestly tend to consider myself at sedentary/bmr during my period unless I have to be out and about that day. I certainly don't think I'd burn more curled up on the couch with a hot water bottle.

UK here! Previously lost 10lbs, now I know I can maintain, have continued exercise and am still not quite happy with weight I'm back to say goodbye to another 10!
