  • Sorry ladies, I've been pretty absent this month. I started working from home and has THAT been a challenge. Not for my job...no I can do that so much easier at home it turns out. It's exercise and getting enough fluids in that are my challenge now. I'm now 12 weeks pregnant and my OB wants me to check my blood sugar…
  • @speyerj Thank you for the well wishes! All exercise has been put on hold after a bit of an issue this weekend with the pregnancy. We're OK, just a big scare. Today I have all my symptoms in full force and I've never been so grateful to be so sick to my stomach. I've let my anxiety eating slip back in and need to nip that…
  • Pregnancy discussed. I hope I'm not a trigger for anyone. If I am, someone teach me how to do the spoiler thing. I may not post as much due to pregnancy, but dammit if I don't support you ladies and want to follow everyone's progress. I also want some accountability and there's literally zero active pregnancy discussions…
  • @Lionsandtigersandbears2 I sent you a friend request. I'm still pregnant which is a good sign. I'm nauseous basically all day long and vertigo isn't helping. Officially 7 weeks today.
  • Having worked with a bariatric program in the past, one of the things I learned is that there's always the possibility you aren't eating enough for the amount you're working out. Also, you tend to put muscle on before the fat falls off. Keep tweaking your macros. A friend of mine was eating around 1200 calories, going on…
  • Saw this and figured we could all use the reminder.
  • LOL I read trashy romance novels - 13 in a 6 week timeframe while I was on loan to the state's 211 office answering panicked phone calls. Then I switched to books about famous horses...another 2 books there, and then a biography on Marilyn Monroe. After that it was nice enough to play in my garden so I haven't picked my…
  • @CupcakeCrusoe I appreciate that. This is officially my third pregnancy, I've just never made it out of the first trimester. I should pick my crochet back up but I get that "but this yarn is so pretty I have to save it for a really good project" syndrome and never actually get much done. I have other crafts too. I've read…
  • @Terytha I hear you from the very pit of my soul. Yesterday was extremely emotional for me for no other reason than I'm a hormonal mess. I felt myself wanting to eat even though I wasn't hungry and when I didn't let myself, it became overwhelming and I was shaking my hands like they were asleep/pins-and-needles feeling.…
  • Good morning! I'm 40, hubby is 46. This is our second pregnancy this year (first ended in missed miscarriage right before COVID). We had to go the IVF route and it would appear my body wants to be pregnant. Officially we are 5 weeks. I'm working with nutritionist and the clinic to make sure I'm maintaining healthy diet and…
  • @sarah8352 Did you ever reach out to a nutritionist?
  • Well, we've had 3 blood tests confirm that it worked and I'm pregnant. A little nervous that it will end like my last 2 pregnancies have (2010 and 2020). Just doing what I can to make sure I'm healthy and taking care of myself. That's literally all I can do at this point.
  • 40 yrs old Starting weight 343 June Starting weight 262 July Starting weight 257 June goals - increase activities, 2 servings of fruit and unlimited veggies this month, increase fish and decrease meat, more nuts and yogurt. June results - increased my activities by adding desk exercises and walking. changed out snacks for…
  • Not all that active in here this month but I've been checking in on everyone. I see some great progress! I've been using the SHAPA scale and app this month that doesn't tell you your weight but it does tell you what your average over the past 10 weigh-ins based on color...Dark grey - really gaining, light grey - only…
  • Thank you! The procedure is really simple and easy for the transfer. It takes 15 minutes MAYBE but then you have to be there an hour beforehand. So now we wait for 7/1 for our first Beta test (blood test measuring the HSG levels).
  • I'm on transfer number 2 (embryo installed yesterday). Our first one in January worked, but the pregnancy was not viable - embryo was missing a gene for sex and ended at 8 weeks. Fingers crossed this embryo is healthy. Welcome to the boat. Drink lots of fluids to help flush the water weight and fats out as you burn it.
  • Love when I can recognize another gamer!
  • This is going to sound SO gross but give it a try: put chicken in a food processor to make it easier to chew while your teeth give you issues. I did this while I was recovering from bariatric surgery and it helps SO much and it's better for you than the PB sandwich. You can also mix a little mayo in and have a chicken…
  • Welcome to week 2 of 2020 Level 6 (aka, June). I am using the Shapa app and scale now, to see how it works (scale doesn't tell you your weight, it measures twice a day for 10 days and lets you know if, on average, your weight is staying the same, increasing, or decreasing over that timeframe). I'll give an honest review at…
  • 40 yrs old Starting weight 343 Current weight 262 May goal - activity and getting the snacks away from my desk, daily logging, increase fruits May results - increased activities, mixed up workouts, no unhealthy snacks at my desk, bringing my own lunches from home, cut the sweets and ate way more apples. June goals -…
  • @cesse47 @sharpdust Water has always been a challenge, my nutritionist said 48-64 is the minimum. I am working so having a cup in the bathroom is not an option (besides, the water at work is gross). I do have an app that reminds me to drink every hour. I set my goal for 100 oz, and am happy when I get to 80oz.…
  • @KeriA I've found them helpful in keeping motivated. I am a person who needs some novelty in my routine. @speyerj OMG!! Look at you! More importantly, how do you FEEL? Water challenges...I know many are drinking half their weight in water/fluid oz. I've had bariatric surgery and there are restrictions on drinking/eating…
  • @speyerj & @procolorer Thank you ladies! I meal prepped last night for breakfasts for the rest of the week and lunch for today. I followed my own exercise schedule last night despite really wanting to blow it off. Tonight is weights/strength training. Good, because there's no AC in my workout room at the moment and cardio…
  • Anyone else thought of taking pictures of everything they eat as an accountability thing on top of tracking? I've seen people do it and post on their instagram profiles. I don't want to be that public with my life, but I thought maybe sending my meals to a friend who's also doing it and trying to be accountable that way. I…
  • @lbostic89 Welcome back! I had taken my own hiatus so I feel you. Been pushing myself to walk almost a mile during my breaks at work. With the weather being so nice this week I've had no issues getting out there. I managed to hit over 10k steps yesterday, though I'm not 100% sure how. I'm thinking it had something to do…
  • Checking in - Started walking more than I have in the past several weeks and I can see that's causing me to gain on the scale (I'm monitoring what I eat and when, so likely it's water weight going on from all the exercise after being a potato for at least 6 weeks). I'm finding that walking my old pace is not doable at the…
  • @rach3116 and @harper16 Thank you ladies. Never heard it called a "kitten" club. We gave ourselves a year of treatments before we would try another route. My insurance covers 6 rounds if we don't go over the age threshold. We have 4 embryos on ice. The geneticist wanted to have us do a thaw-biopsy-refreeze of them all but…
  • @smithmns414 are you on the app or the website?
  • @smithmns414 I sent you a message. @speyerj Thank you. It feels like I took it harder than he did but to be fair, it was more real for me than him. I felt bad for him because I've been this route before in a previous relationship so I knew what to expect and he really was innocent of all that could go wrong and how sudden…
