I'm in! “Dead last finish is greater than did not finish, which trumps did not start.”

hi all! restarting my journey here after a long hiatus. I'd been doing low carb/ keto since last year but lost track somewhere along the way. Looking to get it together again, and get back to the gym. Need some accountability buddies!!
-
I'd go for olive oil, avacado oil or even coconut oil in favor of other vegetable oils.

Back here after a long hiatus, feel free to add :)

Hiya, I'm back on MFP after a long hiatus. Looking for accountability buddies, feel free to add me!

I've been here before but I fell off the bandwagon. Starting to get back on track, it would be great to have accountability buddies on the way!

I agree, swimming is very good for total body exercise. I've been nursing a niggling knee injury and swimming is the only way to get a good burn with minimal risk.

Awesome, welcome!! All the best with your goals :)

Getting serious about health is a great way to start the new year. All the best, keep logging your food intake. I've benefited a great deal from this site, I'm looking to lose 30 pounds. Add me if you like :)

Mine is 2-3 pounds a week. Some weeks are better than others. Consistency is key

I like this feeling actually. Most of the time I focus on either the upper, lower body or the core so I'm not totally wiped out the next day. I'd do a short aerobics/stretching exercise (FitnessBlender workouts) or some light cardio like the elliptical.

Yes desks jobs can kill, pun intended! I'm trying to follow the 20 20 20 rule at work - "Every 20 minutes, walk 20 feet away for 20 seconds or more. Stop by a co-worker's desk. Get a cup of coffee. Pace. Just don't sit."

Good morning folks! I hadn't exercised at all last week (except for two days of skiing). Yesterday I managed to get just 12 minutes of exercise and I didn't log that in. But I've set the ball rolling again, so today will be easier. I get most of my exercise done in the night, I've tried getting up early but hasn't worked…

Well I had the same problem of consistency earlier. My schedules were dependent on the weather or how crowded the gym was. I took care of this by doing routines at home itself at a fixed time using a pair of adjustable dumbbells. There are a ton of homemade body-weight exercises on YouTube that you can follow. Personally I…

I didn't log in as regularly as I liked this Thanksgiving weekend. Two days of skiing was all the exercise I got, but that was quite rigorous and got my weight down by a couple of pounds. Hope to get back on track with exercise this week!

Great progress with your weight loss ✌️

Awesome, looks like your family had a great thanksgiving!

Good morning folks! Great to see all the progress here through the holidays. I started this week with not much exercise. I made it up over the last two days though, skiing at the Tahoe mountains. I'm still a beginner and discovered many new muscles during my two day session (ouch). Now my motivation is to make my body more…

Congratulations on your first step. Wishing you all the best on your journey :) The MFP community pages are pretty helpful, you could check those out.

It's not a bad idea to lay off running or anything that causes pain and focus on diet for a bit. I had occasional knee pain/inflammation when I used to run, and cutting short recovery time really didn't help!

Late night check in here. Happy Wednesday to all. Just got done with a round of cardio and upper body exercise. I follow the workout videos on the Fitness Blender youtube channel. Arms feel dead but my fingers are fine so here I am slumped on the couch typing :) Great to see the progress going on here. My though for the…

Good morning, My intake wasn't too great either yesterday. I had more sweet items than I should have, and ended up going over my food budget by a bit. Hoping Sunday will be better!
-
Have a good weekend folks!! I got my Friday exercise in, so that's good. Weekends are easy to let go on your goals so, I'm watching my diet carefully :)
-
Never let anyone put you down- great advice. Congrats on the weight loss!! :)
-
Great advice @cap3737, congratulations on your success. I agree, cutting soda and sugar from the diet goes a long way. I don't have any pop but have some way to go in reducing sugar intake. We try to cook most meals at home.

Thank you @PinkPixiexox. 34 pounds in eight months, that's impressive!

I tried to go very low carb by consuming eggs, cheese, veggies and tofu in place of bread (I dont eat meat) but that wasn't sustainable. So now I've basically reduced the amount of bread and rice in my diet. I've started having quinoa and more veggies. Getting protein from non-meat sources is a challenge at times!

This week has been a see-saw in terms of weight. I lost nearly two pounds, felt happy about it, and gained a pound back again in the last two days. I'm happy to be logging this though, at least I get to know whats going on. I'm mainly doing cardio with some HIIT training, and I've started adding strength training a little…

I turned 31 last month and that made me realize how I'd let my fitness goals down! I joined MFP two weeks ago, my goals are to get fitter and healthier in the next few months. I'm looking to shed 25-35 pounds for this. The daily logging makes me always aware of what goes into my diet. Tonight it's going to be a low carb…
