I appreciate this, but I LOVE oils and butter in cooking. When I'm cooking a dinner with 4 servings and it calls for a tablespoon of oil, that 30 extra calories per serving is totally worth it to me. However, I still keep a spray can around for lower calorie days.

Yes! Totally doing it. SW: 129 GW: 120, but I'll shoot for 119

I'm 5'6" and 130 right now. Goal is 120. 10 more pounds!
-
Recalculate you TDEE for your new weight. It has most likely gone down a bit.
-
Last time I was at my goal weight (120) I was about 18 which was 7 years ago. I've lost 23 pounds so far and I only have 10 more to go! I MIGHT want to go to 115, it just depends but 120 is my 18 year old goal weight.

It all is CICO but when I was doing intermittent fasting I was doing so to try to combat my late night snacking. If I saved most of my calories for dinner by not eating until around 3pm and having a light lunch, I could go to bed feeling full and not wanting to snack. It helped me a lot in that way. I don't do it anymore…

I would advise you to not do it. If you need motivation, look inward. Losing at that rate would mean you are losing a little over 3 pounds a week (3.33). You're likely to burn out at that rate and lose your money, which they're counting on. You can save money and lose weight by taking it slow and steady! I used to have the…

No matter what you do to lose weight you have to be keeping your calories at a deficit whether that is from restricting calories, burning enough to keep your calories at a deficit or a combination of both (no, you don't HAVE to exercise to lose weight). I do IF, but I wouldn't consider 12:12 fasting since most people are…

Oh, I've been doing it wrong as well! Good to know

I get up around 8:30 and get up to have a couple cups of coffee and read a book. If I'm not too lazy, I'll do yoga after. I don't eat breakfast so I can have a big lunch and dinner :)

I had the nightly snacking problem too! I'm trying to lose about 15 more pounds and honestly, my savior has been Intermittent Fasting. It's not for everyone, but it really helped me stop binging at night which I was prone to do after having a good day calorie wise! Basically, I only eat from 2pm until 8pm and I try to…

My instant pot!

Congrats!

Absolutely! My vegetable portions became larger and my condiments (mayo, sour cream, dressing) became a lot smaller. I am surprised by how much chicken I get to eat though! I started losing weight more regularly after I bought a scale.
-
I second sour cream, but also just vegetables in general. I've been on a green bean kick and eat like 200g at a time for less than 70 cals steamed. I love putting a ton of veggies on my plate so it feels like I'm pigging out. Also, I'm really happy that I didn't have to give up milk in my coffee. Frothing a half cup of 2…

I'm in the same boat :) I'm 5'6" and 139. I've been using Libra Tracker (andriod) app and it tells me my estimated date for my goal every time I put in my daily weight. I'm hoping to get down to 125 by the end of May but with my trend, Libra tells me it'll be May 16th. I'm gonna assume it'll take a bit more time as the…

I second, third and fourth the food scale advice! It's really hard to measure accurately without it and it's the only way I've been able to lose weight at a good pace, personally.

I think that most breasts, like most faces aren't perfectly symmetrical. They're typically a bit off, but you're probably the only one who is going to notice. They might even out when you lose more (I hope mine do!)
-
My goal is 15-20! Feel free to add me :)
-
Calorie counting works, period. You just need to make sure that you are measuring everything accurately and counting each teaspoon of sugar, oil, etc. Those little things that people don't think about add up very quickly!

I notice this a lot. At work, I would figure that I was one of three workers that weren't overweight/obese. That's only out of about 20 people but that is still quite a bit. I also notice it when I go out. The mall, restaurants, the park. Being overweight is just the norm now because the average American is overweight and…

When I was a teen, my mom started celebrating Yom Kippur. Without going into details, it's a 24 hour fast. I did it with her every year until I moved out. It was awesome because we could go get an awesome huge dinner once the 24 hours was up, but it was just miserable the whole fast. Hungry, headaches, fatigue...And that's…

Men typically need more calories. 1200 calories is usually the minimum amount for women to consume. I suggest you google a TDEE calculator. It will tell you how much you need to eat in order to lose weight and a promise it will be more than 1200 calories. You would probably be able to lose that 40 by March if you upped…
-
You should start taking pictures once a month. It's hard to see the difference in the mirror because you see yourself all the time, but photos don't lie. 40 pounds is not a small feat!
-
It most def. is water weight. You could have maybe not eaten as much salt as normal? Or maybe you went to the bathroom before you weighed yourself? Congrats either way :)
-
Hey! You can add me if you want  I'm currently trying to lose about 20-25 lbs!
-
Also, I'm not too great about keeping up on exercise
-
I just love food way too much. I would eat healthy 100% of the time if I had a personal gourmet chef making delicious, healthy foods  . Instead I'm stuck with my own non-gourmet cooking :(

I'm trying to lose 10-15 pounds right now :)
