  • The mfp app wasn't giving me a recalibrate option before. I think it's because my old weight loss info from years ago was throwing things off. When I used mfp for the first time approximately 4 years ago I was smaller than now. So the old weight log ins from those years ago was messing up mfp's calculation of my progress,…
  • Yeah I had not been recalibrating every 10 lbs. I only recently sorted out the problem with my weight loss ticker on here. I used mfp a few years ago and then quit. So when I started using it again, all my old info was still in there. So up until a couple weeks ago, it was only showing that I lost 7 lbs, instead of the…
  • I was weighing. And since I immediately started losing again after I manually adjusted my calories, that leads me to believe I'm weighing properly. Edited to add: I figured I'd have to recalibrate my calories at some point in my weight loss journey, I just never expected it to be so soon. Especially since I'm still so…
  • Thanks you guys for the quick responses. I figured the weekly total would be helpful since sometimes I overeat a little a day or two out of the week. It hasn't seemed to stop my weight loss, but I guess it's because I'm still within my limit by the end of the week.
  • Hmm I was reading some other threads (granted they were from last year) that made it seem like there was some number the mfp app gives you. Oh well, guess not.
  • I'm not sure how much I was eating before I started calorie counting. I might have been undereating like Orphia said. Since I didn't log the first 2-3 weeks of actively trying to lose weight, I can't be sure. I do know that prior to trying to lose I could easily eat over 3,000 calories a day. Probably closer to over 4,000…
  • I'm not against getting a food scale. I just don't know when I'll be able to get one. (Jobless, full-time college student). I'll definitely do some research and save up for one though. But I did read the the other posts. I guess I'm just paranoid because I didn't expect to see a setback this early on. Most of my life has…
  • I'm a little too embarrassed to say what my weight is. And while I don't have a food scale, most of the stuff I'm eating is store bought, so I can see the number of calories on it. And yes, I'm taking serving size into account. The fruits and vegetables I eat I can only measure with measuring cups. What bothers me the most…
