Maybe we're talking about different things... I'm not buying smoothies. I'm blending greens and fruit in my blender. I also eat some lean protein throughout the day... Mostly eggs and some nuts.

I am on day 7 of the green smoothie "cleanse." I don't think my body needs "cleansing" and I know it doesn't "jumpstart" my metabolism. Congrats on your newborn bundle of joy!!! If you are breastfeeding, I'd be careful with cutting calories so soon before you've established your supply. Maybe focus on cutting out (or down) on whatever your unhealthiest snack is. For example, if you drink soda everyday, try cutting that down or eliminate it completely.…

I agree wholeheartedly. I'm not going to necessarily cut down on what I eat, but change the types of food. I'm a big fan of soda and sweets and I'd like to cut that out. Also, I feel like I need to get more exercise to be healthy. Weight loss will be a byproduct of getting back healthy.
