What I tend to do is to try and break it down - I want to lose about 30lbs, so I'm setting myself a target of 10lbs. If you can lose 10lbs, you can then know you can lose then next 10 and so on. It's hard work. I previously lost 3 stone in 2015/16 and felt amazing but gradually put it back on over 2019/2020. So now I'm…

This is 100% me. If I buy it or have it in the house I will eat it because that's just the way I am. So I tend to buy 'treats' that are packaged individually now and that really helps me because I'd feel greedy having more than one. That's just the way I do it. If you're concerned about your eating and behaviour around…

Never feel silly about visiting the doctor - I would go and talk it over and make sure everything is okay with your implant. Could be a complete coincidence but best get it checked out

Hello! The Pinch of Nom recipes are excellent, just google them and they will come up :) I love them x

Start by doing something gentle and build it up. Perhaps swimming or walking? :)

Crisps, nuts, snacks like that with a drink like a G&T or a beer. If I buy a share bag there ain't no sharing going on :D The only way I can control this is NOT to buy them, and that seems to work for me hah.

Thanks all! Great advice - I weigh pasta and rice and anything heavy carb related, but everything else is mainly eyeballed, something I know causes inaccuracy so I'll definitely invest in some better scales. No I'm really bad at logging drinks. I drink a lot of water and at least 5 hot drinks a day (tea and coffee but no…

Thank you, I've changed my diary to public so it's there if anyone wants to look. I would hope I'm adding things accurately as I've been using mfp for a long time but I'm sure there's room for improvement everywhere! I don't eat back exercise calories unless I'm really very hungry for whatever reason - but this isn't…

I'm doing the 2 week shred at the moment and I'm on Day 8. God it is tough. She does not mess around :D I am hoping it's going to get me fitter and eating well alongside doing the workouts and being in a calorie deficit. Some of the results I've seen are incredible, but it does depend on your bodytype and such - hoping to…

When I exercise it certainly increases my hunger. I'll definitely try eating half my exercise calories if I'm still hungry.

Thank you!!

Will this still result in weightloss? I burn between 400-600 calories per workout, but I wouldn't want to eat all of these.
-
But, certainly not all of the calories

No, I don't eat them because I want a defecit to lose weight. But if I eat at night due to still being hungry, then yes.

Well - I have lost weight previously (around 2 and a half stone) just on my own and healthy eating & exercise. I've been doing that since 2014 and feel much better for it. But for the last year my weight has completely plateaued, even though I've cut down, done more exercise. My principles I've used before to lose weight…

I know I have a feeling it's not hunger at all - although it feels like it! I am quite a fast eater, I always have been so that might also be something to watch. It's interesting getting other people's perspectives as you become so accustomed to doing things your own way you don't see where you might be going wrong!

Thank you - everyone is very insightful. Weighing my food and logging drinks is something I'll definitely start doing. My main worry is I'll get hungry - no one likes being hungry! I do get hungry even an hour or so after my evening meals. I drink about 3 litres of water per day, so it's definitely not that. Do you think…

Thank you! I do weigh pasta and rice - but that's about it really. What do you suggest weighing - not all food but most?
