  • Thanks for the warning/advice!! Lol good to know
  • I carry it in my stomach, I don’t want to go to the gym every day and get sore beforehand, but I think I should go every other day up until I go? I normally go like 1-2x a week... I logged my weight almost every day last year, and I looked and saw I was 190 when we went skiing last year and I thought- really?! Omg what on…
  • Did you get through it easier the 2nd time? I ran 1.5 miles with 4 wall breaks and it wasn’t enjoyable so I’m thinking for me to enjoy it again is to go back to the beginning again!
  • Thanks for the insight, something to keep in mind next time I decide to stop running for so long!
  • Ok I see c210k starts off easier
  • I would hate to do c25k, it took me 12 weeks instead of 8 to complete, I just don’t want to go all the way back down!
  • I did C25K last year and I went from zero running to a 40min comfortable 5k, so I had used that to learn to run for a longer period of time... should I restart th C25K and run faster at the intervals?
  • I'm nowhere near that fit, my foot is numb and my sciatic is killing my leg from pushing myself... i was almost 300 pounds a few years ago, and Im 200 pounds and never did an ounce of exercise until I was 29! I run 2.5miles twice a week and my slow run can take me 35min to do that, and walk/run the 3rd day for an hour, I…
  • I'm definitely diligent with my food, it's actually from a meal prep place and all the food is weighed and portioned so I know I'm on point as far as calories go... but I've been having 1-3 cheat days out of 7 for a year now, and in that time I've gained 10 pounds
  • I lost 10 pounds (80 pounds prior to that) but gained it back because I became more hungry and having too many off diet days... I lost 1/2 a pound to 1 pound a week when I was running, until I started to over eat. In general I lost 0.75 pounds a week over 1.5 years The last year I've lost NOTHING!! I've been yo yo-ing…
  • Okay I never really thought about that! Some days 1300 is fine and other days I need more like 1700! Very helpful thanks!!
  • I'm 200 now (188 last year), I was 280 a few years ago, according to the bmi chart I need to be 176 to be considered overweight and not obese... that's honestly my goal for now... any ideas on what my macros should be or should I just focus on eating a healthy 1600 calories in general and ignore my macros
  • No I never have, because if I wanted that one binge day a week, I couldn't do that and lose weight... but again I don't have much appetite after I exercise, I tend to get hit with the hunger bug the days following
  • Under 30mins would be a dream! When I started doing run/walk last year my knees were in so much pain I was in tears- I legit never exercised until now, but got my 5k PR from 44min to 36min, and that 36min run was the most painful run from beginning to end, I pushed way too hard and broke down because of the pain at the…
  • I actually get less hungry after I run, I lose my appetite! But the following day I hungry, also when I'm ovulating and prior to my period, so I want to increase my calories (and macros?) to something so I don't feel like I'm always on edge of being hungry even on good days
  • I started with a dietician, and she was very informative, but it got expensive, and somehow without telling her about my one binge day a week I lost weight with her... she gave me 1200-1450 calories/180 carbs/ 100+protein/48 fat/ 36 sugars... so now I'm doing som research and seeing that I should increase my calories to…
  • I'm still obese, and short lol so I run 2.5-3 miles twice a week, so with 5min warm up it's about 40min, and I walk for 1.5hrs with my kids the 3rd day.... I see that I can choose lightly active etc in the choices so with that I'm not sure what to choose?
  • I only stretch after my runs for a few min at most so I'll try stretching daily
  • Since I've been running twice a week and walking with my kids once a week over the past 2.5mos I've gone from 14:30min miles to 14min or 13:45min miles for easy runs, so I do feel more of a want to push to go faster... my PR was 36min flat last August, but my goal is to be under 40min, it would REALLY boost my…
  • I run 2.5 miles twice a week, I'm still obese so I walk for a couple hours on the 3rd day as my knees don't like 3 days of running, but if I push and run fast for too long then they seize, my body wanted to keep running farther today than my calves so I know I ran pretty fast but I felt the urge to push myself a bit more
  • Well... now that I think about it, normally I drink lots of water, but yesterday I didn't eat healthy and didn't drink as much water as I normally do, but any other day is still 40-60oz of water
  • ***update*** Well I stepped on the scale and magically I'm down 2 pounds! Did it a few more times just to be sure, but I guess it was a plateau, which seems a weird time to have one.
  • Oh well yes this has happened to me over the years! I had plateaus and some weight gains, but then it would come off, so overall I would lose an average of a pound a week.. sometimes more, rarely a gain, and lots of plateaus... but I'm basically starting my diet over and not seeing a loss in the first 2 weeks so that is…
  • Thanks for the insight. I've lost 90 pounds since August 2015, but gained 10 back since last spring
  • Okay, I'm just so used to what my dietician drilled into my head, I did well with her instructions and didn't even have cravings for sweets etc and lost 1-2 pounds a week and had energy so I kind of look at her as a God of diets lol! But I'll try to keep that in my head that fats aren't the devil
  • I remember now, she told me to watch the fat cuz I used to be 65+ grams of fat, so she just said to keep an eye on it but it's okay as long as it's healthy fats... I have no health concerns, I'm all good, but I am obese at 30 at 200lbs and don't want to be develop any health problems, so I'm just generally trying to lose…
  • Just to note- I don't see a dietician anymore but I was with her for 6 months last year to learn how to eat better... I do typically eat a lot of meat and not much veggies so she kept me at 1200 at least, to 1450 calories, 100 protein/163 carbs/ 48 fat, and I tend to go over fat and never over on carbs, it's just what…
  • I only went over 100 calories for the day, so I agree with u, so that's why I'm trying to look at my macros
