  • Me! I have an old post I'll attach the pic- at the time of the picture I was down 75 pounds, now I'm down another 10 pounds, but I haven't heard any "you lost more weight!" Recently so I'm sure I still look close ;-)
  • Yes I use the treadmill, with my allergies I just cannot run outside without feeling sick, I do 0.5 incline and 4.7mph, I just don't want to have to decrease my speed too much since I already do a slow jog, maybe 4.5 next time and repeat that day
  • Thanks everyone!!! No joke, I did my run today, first 4min one and when I got to the halfway part I thought "ugh this isn't fun anymore!" So looking back on some of your answers and the fact that I didn't find the joy I usually do in it, tells me I have to repeat that day! I was kind of bummed, it's the first time I didn't…
  • Thank you everyone!- the first two weeks were rough on me as my knees took a huge beating, but after getting good running shoes, and doing good stretching after, I can say I am able to get around and do daily activities like normal, so I know I'm not overdoing it and my body isn't sore... I do worry about getting sore…
  • I also was told that the only other option would be the pill, but I have clotting issues so I always had to wait a couple months for my hormones to stabilize which they always did. My mom had gone on birth control for this and she ended up with multiple blood clots in her lungs, one went to her heart and it stopped, drs…
  • And thank u for posting this, I had yet to see someone post of extra bleeding and painful periods! I'm glad I'm not alone
  • Yes and I HATE THAT!!!! I'm such a hypochondriac, so I've talked to my Obgyn a lot about this! Over the last couple years I've had extra periods, bleeding inbetween, 2 light periods a month, very late periods etc, I feel that when my hormones go out of wack it's new each time! I've been to the dr twice for it, and been…
  • And I agree, 26g?! That's low! I could not do that! 36 seems to be my magic number, I generally try to stay under 40
  • My dietician set mine at 36g- so kind of inbetween! I don't have diabetes but she knows it runs in the family, I've definitely noticed a difference from going down from 45g
  • Also- yes my hormones have gone SO out of wack with dieting, but my body always ended up "adjusting" itself I should say
  • Yes!! My thermostat in spring last year was set at 67, 68... I froze my hubby out a lot! Now I can set it at 72, 73 and feel just as comfortable!
  • My wardrobe is BLACK everything, isn't black slimming?! Lol, I am starting to choose actual colors in new clothes that I buy, for me that's big lol
  • Wow! I think I got lucky with a great dietician, our sessions last an hour maybe more, as she goes through my diary, prints recipes and writes down new goals for me every visit! I guess they really are all different!
  • Yes!!!!! I lost 70 on my own, but got so bored with my usual diet that I went off a bit and quickly gained 10 pounds back, so I looked for a dietician, she has helped me so much!! I think it depends on what you need, if you know how to eat and cook and are not a picky eater then you're probably fine without one- I am a…
  • Also- people in the supermarket who stop right in the middle of an aisle when they see something they're interested and go to the shelf to take 59 hours to "look" at something without realizing THEYRE IN EVERYONES WAY!
  • when someone notices my weight loss success and informs me of their new fad diet or MLM discovery, like I should look into it to help my self... happened twice! Why do people think those who are losing weight need garbage advice?!
  • Some months, or days of my cycle I hurt enough that I skip a workout... if after taking ibu I'm still not up for doing my daily activities then I will skip a workout if it's my day to go to the gym. You should listen to your body if you have a rough cycle on a workout day, as I learned that the hard way!! The pain can get…
  • Okay good to know, I'm very new to stretching and basically everything lol! I'll try to work on core strength... it's already been a few hours and my knee pain is down a lot, now just achy muscles, and tendons? I don't know it's all new to me! I definitely need shoes though, I just got whatever ones they had in my size and…
  • And I've been told a million times by massage therapists and chiropractors that I have very tight hamstrings and muscles and I'm pathetic with how poorly flexible I am! Hopefully the stretching I'm doing now could help? I'm 29 so I hope I don't already have knee pain! Today was my 4th time doing c25k
  • Did good running shoes help your knee pain? I'm 195, obese, but still weird that I get knee pain within 5min after running... I really enjoy it, and I'm doing lots of stretching before and after, and my knees are clearly the only thing that hurt after! It's annoying me
  • This year is AWFUL GOD AWFUL for allergies!! I actually joined the gym because when I tried to go outside for a run, by the afternoon I was so miserable I was in hell! Some ideas- get allergy shots- definitely worth it in the long run For short term, get a Neti pot or Neti spray bottle... doesn't it make sense to flush out…
  • Thanks everyone, yes I'll be sure not to do back to back days! I'll try to look up some running stretches to do before and after
  • Also--- you sound like me! I didn't know what sciatica was until I was prego, and ever since then I get times where it acts up- also a physical therapist would help, I have seen chiropractors but I tend to find that a physical therapist works best- your ligaments get relaxed during pregnancy causing sciatic pain and it can…
  • WHAT exactly has caused your sciatic pain in the past? Disc issue, etc? Mine is muscular and from poor posture etc... if you're like me and it's a muscular issue- try to get a deep tissue massage, my sciatic bothers me at times, especially now that I'm new to running, literally only been a week into it and my sciatic is…
  • I was more motivated- I think everyone has to have that breaking point or thing that makes them realize this HAS to be done, and go in giving 100% I finally became sick of feeling sick and unable to do things because of my weight, one day I just had enough and instead of sticking with it for a week or two, I've been on my…
  • My first? Hmm I would say about 6 months after starting, I think if I would have had cheat days before then or early on, I would have given up completely. Now I'm trying to find a healthy balance so I don't go overboard again lol
  • Nope not food poisoning because it happens every time I have a whole day of sweets and fast food, some times it's not as extreme, but the other day was by far the worst! My hubby reminded me of devouring tons of a cookie cake, so that may have been enough to throw my intestines into a mood. I've had stomach flu etc which I…
  • A diet only works if you make it a lifestyle change, aka you can't just change your eating habits and then go back to eating however you want, or not as well, the weight will come back on. I've done the low carb thing, I've done a lot of different diets, and if you're like me and know that low carb cannot be a lifestyle…
  • Well my chubby self fits snug in an XL fit belt, I wish they had an XXL! I'm hoping it's okay to wear under my shirt!
  • Thanks for all this! I didn't even know that as far as "how" to run!
