  • Congrats on your race!! Very inpressive!!
  • So sorry for your loss!
  • Congrats on your run!! I walked the relay for life last july, a month after my dad passed from stomach cancer. It felt like the most important walk of my life! Next year I will be able to run it.
  • I just sat on the tennis ball today! Pure magic ha! I sometimes use it on my shoulder back area too, but have to be careful, seems a fine line between helping that area and making it much worse for me.
  • Didn't run yesterday or today. Needed a rest day then today so much going on. I got up and dressed to run but somebody had other plans for me. Anyways, looks like I have another job, so I'm not sure what's going to happen with running but I'm finally on a losing streak again with weight and feeling more confident again and…
  • Consider yourself blessed!!
  • I'm running at a 15 mile pace. I feel like I'm running, not jogging, but I know it's a slow run. I use to run 10 min miles. Last year before June I couldn't run at all past the second half of the first run on c25k because of the fluid retention. I've learned to balance sodium better to help (but that also means I have less…
  • I agree! I started doing strengthening workouts 3 weeks ago. Very light and slowly increasing. Because i have a lot of issues doing them as well. The difference has been huge for my running and my normal pain I have even when I'm not. I noticed a difference after my first SW.
  • Ha! Love the turtle! I'm right there with you! :)Sometimes the challenge for me is not the running, but continuing as a slow runner. Lol!
  • So sorry you and your family are going through this.
  • I missed a day of running, but got back at it today and did Week 7 Day 1, which is 25 mins of running. Had more sodium over the weekend then I should have, and I felt it in my lower legs and feet this morning, but my workouts I'm doing have helped a lot with my hip and nerve pain, so I'm quite pleased with that. Goal is to…
  • Your posts about Kody always make me (almost) wish I had a dog to run with! :) Awesome dog you have there!
  • I must have missed Stans original post when I was in here earlier! I agree! This is the best spot on Mfp. This group is actually an example of what nearly all of mfp use to be. I'm so appreciative of reminders like this one for when I get in my head too much!
  • Happy birthday!
  • Came in under goal tonight. Got a run (completed week 6 of 10k trainer) and a walk in today. Still need to work on junk food more, but I'm feeling much more confident with my choices overall than I have in a year and a half.
  • Joining in! Good luck everyone! SW:170 CW:149.3 GWMarch:144.3 Weigh in dates: Start of the month(03/01 Tuesday):149.3 03/05 Sat: 03/12 Sat: 03/19 Sat: 03/26 Sat: End of the month(03/31 Thursday): Total weight lost:
  • Over my calorie goal tonight. And sat on my butt most of the day other than a couple hours at work. Plan to get back at it tomorrow.
  • There can be such a huge mental part to all of this. I have been skinny and felt fat, fat and not really notice it, and anywhere in between. Losing weight is as much work on the mind as it is on the body sometimes, just keep after it, believe that the loss is happening, for most people the mind will catch up. If it…
  • I had a meaningful loss today, I broke through an emotional/mental barrier I've been stuck on for about a year and a half. Every time I lost to a certain number I self sabotaged/self punished and would gain. Never dropping further below, but today was a different story, today I lost again without the gain. I finally feel…
  • Mine are crossed as well for ya @Elise1931 ! Love your new profile pic!
  • The last two times I ran I noticed fatigue in my quads from my workout, so with that workout increasing I need to move it to another day, or later in the day but not just before my runs anymore. I also had a very meaningful loss in weight today, I broke through a mental/emotional barrier I have been stuck on for more than…
  • Improviser best describes me, though our winters don't get bad like other places and I have to turn the heat off and open the door so I still get that cold air that's not available in the spring and summer.
  • My March goal is to get through week 9 of the 10k Trainer. This should increase my mileage some, but not sure just how much. Last month it was 11.4 miles, I will say 20 miles for the month. It really is hard sometimes to stick with the schedule, but I have definitely learn that pushing myself to fast only leads to setbacks…
  • Awesome! Grabbed it right up, thanks for posting it!
  • Congrats everyone who made goal or darn near it! For those who didn't, keep moving! That's all it's really about!! Those of you with injuries, hope recovery goes smooth and quick so you can get right back where you need/want to be! Once again thanks for all the laughs, advice, encouragement and motivation! You all…
  • Hey there! I'm Becky, I'll be 45 in May and it's definitely a lot harder to lose weight these days, I think mostly because it's harder to burn calories like I use too. I continue to work on my running and do a light workout. Feel free to add me for anyone who like to interact, with encouragement and motivation, as well as…
  • So sorry to hear about your dad! :'( Mine passed 8 months ago from stomach Cancer. So rough!
  • Hi there! I'm Becky, I'll be 45 in May and am 5'2". 7 years ago I started this journey, got to a healthy weight and maintained that and more for 5 1/2 years. Then life took a huge turn in many ways and I gained back 35 pounds in 6 months. I have been able to stop the gaining but have struggled with the losing as I went…
