Not supported by evidence-based research.... unless you of course consider The Art and Science of Low Carb. But as long as you guys say it's BS, it's probably BS.

We at the Cult of Keto have been mourning the loss of our brother, @EzRemake May Brodin carry his barbell into Valhalla.

If you're serious about a lifestyle change, go ahead and add me! Take a peak at my diary, I live a Ketogenic lifestyle, and I recommend it to everybody. I don't drink pop, I don't eat fast food, and I absolutely don't eat any carbohydrate. Get busy becoming skinny, or get used to being fat!

I agree, I like the way it transforms your body.

Well since you said it, let it be truth. Oh wait, what does Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health have to say? So I know it might be inconvenient to admit you're wrong to such an *kitten*, such as myself. But admit it, you were wrong, all carbohydrates, regardless of complexity, breaks down into sugar/glucose. Sugar in…

Another surprising side effect of low-carb: Amazing muscle definition

Everyday Brodin blesses me with the opportunity to enter the Church of Iron and preach the Swoly Bible. It would be blasphemous to not preach heavy lifts. Every human being, with very few exceptions, should be lifting heavy. Compound lifts with barbells on your back and in your hands transforms who you are, internally and…

I keep my net carbs around 20g-25g a day, and for a 6'5" guy at 260lbs, that's pretty hardcore Keto. Add me and take a poke around my diary to see some of my delicious meals!

Doesn't understand Ketogenics, gives advice about Ketogenics. #logic

Go ahead and add me to follow my journey! 6'5" 26M with 45 lbs to lose, then 10 lbs to gain

My most hated advice: After I tell someone about Ketogenics: Are you serious? Carbs are healthy! You can't live without rice, pasta, bread, pizza, doughnuts, and crack!
-
Carbs make you fat
-
Ketogenics Carbs make you tired, if you eat low fat and low protein, your body doesn't have the proper energy reserves to keep you going through your day. Consider not eating carbohydrates for a month to test out the theory.

^This Also give us your stats: Height, Weight, Body Fat %, Gender, Activity Level, These things paint a better picture of how to help, and where you could be going wrong. Also add a picture, it's weight talking to a non-descript human-like figure.

I'd recommend a gym

I can tell you have never heard of Ketogenics, and neither have many of the posters here. Yes, while ultimately CICO is what determines if you lose weight, there are still other factors that effect health, particularly carbohydrates, sugar, and insulin. If all you ate was candy, but only ate 1,300 calories a day, would you…

ON Gold Standard Pre -- It's the Gold Standard for a reason. Pineapple flavor is just unreasonably good. Best taken by snorting it off safety bars on squat racks.

An iPhone 6s Plus.... yea I got big hands, don't judge me.

Heavy Squats for life stronglifts.com/squat/ ^The best guide to learning proper squat technique with heavy weight. Following StrongLifts 5x5 religiously means I squat heavy 3 times every week. What I can tell you is that it is the single hardest exercise to do mentally, and it is the single most effective. Ladies:…

My cheat days consist of lifting too heavy and having to use too much back. Brodin disapproves.

Protein powder mixed with peanut butter powder and Almond and Coconut milk. Dessert of the Almighty Brodin

100% or nothing! Don't leave anything behind, don't just find your limits, push past them. I think it's incredibly important to set goals higher than you can expect to achieve, especially in terms of effort. You can't control much in life, but you can control the amount of effort you put into something. Plus trust me, when…

I have stayed under 20g of sugar for over 3 months now. I feel the only way to be able to do that is with a Ketogenic diet. Removing carbs from your diet makes not eating sugar incredibly easy. As far as cravings go, they are pretty intense at first, I recommend very dark chocolate (85% cocoa or higher), or you could try…

Watch any Kai Green documentary. Or just type motivation into YouTube. If those two don't pump you up enough, nothing will.

It's not about being lazy, it's about setting up a habit. My habit now is to drink my pre-workout on the way home from work and go straight to gym. Anyone who has ever drank pre-workout knows you can't *kitten* around after you drink it, you NEED to work out. After doing that for a couple weeks, now I can't help but go to…

This is a pretty dumb argument for not counting calories. Count carbs, but purposefully don't count calories because why? It's too tyrannical? It's not as effective? No, you're being purposefully obtuse, avoiding the calorie count by using MFP is like closing your eyes to the truth. Calories matter, whether or not you want…

The caloric intake seems a bit high for a female. Almost 1,800 calories doesn't create much of a deficit. I'd consider dropping it even further if your mental will power can handle it. 1,500 might be worth a shot. The Keto-Flu is very real and sucks a lot. I combatted it using Chicken bullion broth, drink a couple cups to…

Low-carb is easy, almost boringly easily. But that's what it takes to be low-carb, staying simple and boring. Is the food delicious? Absolutely. But day in and day out just expect to eat a simple mix of meats, cheese, veggies, and of course fat. With Ketogenics, a good goal is around 30g-50g of net carbs. At 6'5" 260lbs…
