I binge the same way. I don't want to discourage you from using MS. Fontaine's list of angry thoughts - method. It has not worked as well for me... I think there's a deeper issue that needs to be addressed, and that self-loathing is actually a remnant of the root issue; eating is just a way to resurface a familiar feeling…

I'm with you... check out some of the other posts in this group. A lot of people have the same plea, and some of the threads have good advice. I'm working with a nutrition coach to help me establish a healthy diet plan and motivate me. It is always a good idea to talk with your doctor about your eating habits and get…

Opinion: The ideal way to approach overcoming your cravings is to find a natural way: Fill in your time with something that will keep your mind engaged so you are not thinking about eating so much; Don't keep food around the house or at work that will tempt you and distract you; If you do have food around, choose fruits…

we had to do push-ups if we missed our formation... some of us got bigger arms.

I do the same thing. I start eating sugary or salty foods, and just keep eating them 'til they're gone. Those kinds of foods are really addictive, and I notice my health declines when I eat, say, candy and chips 3 or four nights a week... It's tough to stay away from, especially when I'm stuck at work and don't feel like I…

You're doing awesome! Keep going strong.

The problem with that, I've found, is that it becomes a habit for me to eat tons of food even when I'm less active. And I binge eat because I get used to eating a lot every time I eat. Which can often be very counterproductive.

I ride a bike... and play soccer. Some days I ride for 6 hours or more and I take in a ton of calories.

I could agree @KnitOrMiss . It doesn't help any thing when you beat yourself down about yesterday... it's more progressive to set your sights on your goals and move ahead... believe in yourself.

Motivation is hard to hold on to. It seems to come and go. But it seems like it's important to just keep pushing yourself until you find the balance that makes you happy and, most importantly, healthy. There are tons of ways to become more active stay in great shape. I would suggest signing up for a run... 5k, 10k, half…

It's so tough to just drop energy drinks and soda. They taste good and they spike your blood sugar. Everything about them is addictive; and since the negative effects are not really noticeable until our body has been pretty much depleted, it never seems really urgent to convince ourselves to "just not drink them." But I…

I have trouble with binge eating too. I get a fair amount of exercise, and, in fact, during more intense training I sometimes take in up to 5000 calories per day. It is extremely difficult for me to spread that intake out throughout my day to keep my digestive system balanced. I tend to go most of the day without food and…
