  • How has your progress been with the carb cycling? I'm only a week in. And do you do high and low? Or high, med, and low?
  • My current method is High and Low. High on gym days so 3-4 times a week and low for the days in between. It did say not to do a high carb day back to back, have at least one low in between. By low right now I'm doing is 80 grams max that's including all carbs not just starchy carb and see how that goes. I just want to lean…
  • I'm probably go with that first. Trial and error on myself because there is too much information one way or the other and I'm sure neither one is really "wrong" just depends on how it is for each individual.
  • Yea for me I probably won't do anything less than 80 grams on my low days. And this is where carb cycling gets confusing because I see different approaches on what to count carbs vs net carbs.
  • That's kind of what I've been doing just hard to not eat fruits or vegetables on my low carb days. My number is around 80grams on my low carb days.
  • Well good to see. I know my LDL results were tad bit higher than what I read online which is at 100 or less. Glad everything else looks good.
  • To be able to reach my daily protein goal (160g) and to keep my calorie count down. I have my avg body fat down to 12-16% but my mid section has yet to come through (I have a measurement of 34.5 for my waist) so been slowly taking down my calorie count the last couple months to see if that helps. Went from 2000cal to about…

  • Haha they don't push it on me but they do act like its the best thing in the world. Lol
  • More just in their general products. I don't really see paying all that money being worth it for their products.
  • Yea just wanted to make sure I wasn't over doing it with the protein and doing harm to my body than good. I usually eat around 25-30g of protein per meal or snack. I just recently went on a lean mass diet. I was getting a lot of belly fat and wanted to reduce my daily calorie intake. Been in the 1800-2200 range and my…
  • I agree because my fiance and I are trying to convince her that if she even did light exercises (walking, jogging) that she would be even healthier. The funny thing is that shes even picky with vegetables and fruits so shes even more limited than a typical vegan. But her excuses not to exercise are usually because, 1. shes…
  • I actually eat a can of tuna and hand full of almond almost everyday as well. Just wondering because the info I've been seeing is that eggs are really good and most of the time the yolk should not be removed unless you do have a cholesterol problem(which I don't).

  • I tried the whole support thing and he keeps saying he doesn't need help and he is getting better(which he is not) he is a point were he needs professional help. I even looked online for free consoling since he doesn't have medical insurance. Still turned it down and got pissed off at me. I went also as far as joining a…
  • Haha I love that commercial. Well, I'm wearing a t shirt and some shorts(I live in California). But glad I'm not pregnant from him either lmao! You guys are too funny!
  • Trying to send a message but the apps server keeps timing out. Maybe try send me a message?
  • Yea I believe he's a lost cause. Sad to say since I've known the guy since I was 8. But all I can do is support him, I can't do the work for him. But luckily for me I'm the total opposite. I love to workout to a point I have to force myself to take days off from the gym. I love eating healthy and I have a normal life and a…
  • So thought I'd give a little update on this situation. So I approached him telling him he needs to want to help himself if he wants to lose weight and regain confidence. He got really upset with me because I told him he should seek professional help with his mental issue (he has social anxiety and depression). He stated…
  • I would recommend hill training and if all possible on non paved terrain. Burpees are a must also. Everything else is pretty manageable. Ropes and the bars are probably the toughest obstacles but ive seen unfit 70-80 year olds complete this. Just do those things and have fun. My first one was tough and took me over two…
  • Yea you guys are right. All I get out of trying to help him is frustration which really isn't worth it. And yes he does still live with his mom and has never had a job in his life so he does need to self reflect on what he needs to take care of before he try's to lose weight.
  • Thanks for the suggestions. I should also add that he is a 32 year old man but doesn't really move from his bed. (No he's not disabled just extremely lazy and only plays video games day in and day out). He doesn't work so all he does is play video games laying down in his bed. He only eats once a day from what his mother…
  • After two weeks of resting and not doing long runs including self massage on the area has helped. The pain has gone away and I still have another week until I have my race. I bought compression socks as well and it has seemed to have helped with the healing process. Don't know if it's an placebo effect but either way pain…
  • Thanks for the tip and I do not have a medical condition were I need to do low carb. I just felt like my carb intake was way too high(I love pasta!).But when I do carb intake lately it's 80% sweet potatoes then oatmeal and bananas(I try to stay under the 200g carb intake daily). I guess I will have to up my ab workouts…
  • I am going to train for my super run coming at the end of January. So taking my sprint experience and work on my weaknesses. Which were mainly grip endurance.
  • I have not. I just joined there mailing list for the daily work out routines and went off of that combined with long runs and hill training.
  • Yes I did. I wore my old weight lifting ones without the fingers on them but now I might consider the ones that fully cover the fingers because my finger tips were aching after the race. Even the next day lol.
  • It was great! Tough but doable. I would recommend to bring at least one friend to help you through some of the courses. But it was a great experience! I would do it again. Took me about 2:20 to finish the whole race. Grip and upper body strength is totally needs for this so train for that! Also burpees lol
